Why I want to be a teacher

I have always been passionate about helping people. Ever since I was in elementary school, I
have been helping my classmates with math or science. I enjoy helping my peers with their
studies and helping them understand. I have come to realize how much of an impact teachers
can have on their lives. Seeing the positive influence that teachers had on their students makes
me want to become a part of it.
I had some truly incredible teachers who encouraged me to go for my dreams and gave me the
confidence that I could do anything if I put my mind to it. They inspired me with how much
effort they put into making sure their students were engaged and learning in a fun way.
Teachers are more than just instructors; they are mentors and role models for their students.
As teachers, they take on many roles, such as educator, counselor, advisor, confidant, friend,
and sometimes even a parent figure. In addition to teaching academic content knowledge and
skills necessary for a successful life after school, teachers also need to be able to build
meaningful relationships with their students so they can help them evolve emotionally and
socially.
My belief in the importance of education is another reason I want to become a teacher.
Education can provide people with opportunities they never would have had before and can
open doors that would otherwise remain closed. Education aims to empower people to become
critical thinkers and engaged members of society, in addition to imparting knowledge.
Instructors have the chance to foster a lifetime love of learning in their pupils by inspiring and
motivating them to realize their full potential. Teachers may enable children to explore their
interests and follow their aspirations by creating a secure, supportive, and inclusive classroom
atmosphere. I will help inculcate these ideals in my students as their teacher and continue to
support them for years to come. In addition to that, teaching gives me the chance to make a
difference in someone else’s life, and that is something money cannot buy. When you inspire
someone else and watch them grow as an individual, it is rewarding.
