Overview
 The IP connectivity from the vEPC deployed on Ericsson Cloud System (ECS) towards the
Entel’s Side Router (SR) is based on Ericsson’s Router 6672 (R6672) capabilities

 1 optical link SFP+ 10G (850nm/SR or 1310/LR, MMF) transports all the vEPC traffic via
R6672 towards the Entel’s SR

 4 different VPNs: signaling, om_cn, ran and iac are configured into R6672 in order to
separate the different traffic types from physical and virtual network functions.
See further details on slides 3-6.

 OSPF is the recommended protocol between the R6672 and the customer’s SR.
Slides 3-6 contain proposed OSPF areas.

 IP connectivity uses VLANs tagging between R6672 and SR for proper traffic separation.
Slides 3-6 contain proposed VLAN IDs assigment.

vEPG SIGNALING network design
ROUTING OPTION USING OSPF
— To connect with SIGNALING VPN, signaling_linknet_1 interface is deployed between vEPG and
the Customer’s Side Router

— OSPF is the preferred routing option between vEPG and SRs

— Proposed OSPF area is 0.0.0.2

— In the direction from vEPG to SRs the vMME VIPs are redistributed into the OSPF instance; in the
reverse direction, SR should announce routes to VIPs on other client nodes. Ex: HSS

— Following subnets will be redistributed into Entel’s backbone:

vEPG OAM network design
ROUTING OPTION USING OSPF
— To connect with OAM VPN, om_cn_linknet_1 interface is deployed between vEPG and the
Customer’s Side Router

— OSPF is the preferred routing option between vEPG and SRs

— Proposed OSPF area is 0.0.0.3

— In the direction from vEPG to SRs vEPG, vMME and CEE VIPs are redistributed into the OSPF
instance; in the reverse direction,
SR should announce routes to VIPs on other client nodes

— Following subnets will be redistributed into Entel’s backbone:

vEPG RAN network design
ROUTING OPTION USING OSPF
— To connect with RAN VPN, ran_linknet_1 interface is deployed between vEPG and the Customer’s
Side Router

— OSPF is the preferred routing option between vEPG and SRs

— Proposed OSPF area is 0.0.0.4
