The process of getting a driver’s license in America

The diagram illustrates the process which a American needs to go through to obtain a driving license.
Overall, there are 5 main stages to gain a driving license, from completing the form to taking the road
exam.

At the beginning of the process the person has to go to the driving license center and fill in the forms.
After that the person has to take an eyesight test which is an important step to go to the next step for
getting a license. If a person passes the test, the candidate pays the fees and takes a written exam. In
case of failure in the eye test, the candidate cannot take the exam.

At the next stage, if the candidate successfully completes the written test they are then able to take the
road exam. But for someone who is not successful in the test can retake it twice more without paying a
fee. If a person can pass the exam they can have a road test. Unfortunately fail they have to pay the fee
to the written test again. Similarly, those who fail the road exam also pay the fee and retake the test.
