This selected poster was from a documentary movie poster. This is about a person’s
life struggles. The image is not all visual. Only the visual things are not presented here. This
poster interplays with words and images. The theme of the image here is correctly visual and
properly follows the rhetorical devices that the designer applies to reach out to the audience.
This poster has two hands, one black and another white, which is the central theme of the
poster. This reflects that black and white people are together, and racism decreases. For this
reason, the logic is appropriate, and the writing clarifies the persuasion of the struggle of
black skin colour people and the conflict between white and black skin colour people is
resolving, and people are focusing on humanity. These are some myths that exist in society.
The theme here concerns an important aspect of society. For a long time, there was high
discrimination between these white skin colour people and black skin colour people. Black
skin colour people are not enslaved. The shake of hands reflects the end of the conflict. It is
not just a theme; this represents many important emotions regarding this racism and the many
sufferings people face today.
This poster has three good rhymes too. The flag, person Nelson Mandela, and title in
the poster represents the rheme. Here, the flag represents the nation where significant
revolutions happen. On the other hand, Nelson Mandela also depicts the struggles, and the
person who worked for this to change the situation. The poster's last title emphasized the
issues and clarified the ideas. In addition, the flag and person of the poster affect the domains
where they are visual to intend the thinking, feeling, and acting together. Here, the flag
represents the intense feelings of specific areas where the revolution occurred and who are
the first to take steps against some social myths. Moreover, the person also references that
this practice and try should not be stopped; therefore, there is an act here. The colour
combination, images, and text work, are highly appreciatable, especially the choice of colour
and filter ratio. The targeted audiences of this visual are teenagers and young adults to change
their perception and bring a new change in society. This visual has ingenuity in terms of
presentation and sequential development. All the images in the poster and their size show the
proper meaning and importance to the context. In terms of spreading the message, this visual
is successful. On the other hand, the text of the visual can be more profound or improved to
give more references to context. Overall, the visual was good.
