1.0 SCOPE OF WORK:


GLAZING WORK
PROCURREMENT OF MATERIAL
FABRICATION OF GOODS

INSTALLATION OF GOODS

2.0 SITE SURVEY –:


a. Reference point to be given by client for level & coordinates.

b. Checking for any kind of filling and chipping.

c. Opening size to be check as per the Grid marking/Shop/ drawing.

d. Floor level to be check out

e. All survey reports will be submitted before commencing work execution at site.

f. Fabrication size will be released according to the site Survey& size openings.

3.0 CONCEPT & ENGINEERING:

3.1 Engineering and Design:

The system design will be done as per the parameter stated in the Technical
specification and details mentioned in the drawings.
The Design Systems will meet standards and will comply with building regulations
and local building / safety regulations.

3.2 System Design and Drawings for Glazing System :


System design, typical and specific section details for each area / elevation with
relevant interface details will be submitted by Pranav Doors & Windows Pvt. Ltd. to
the Client for their review and approval. All details will be coordinated with the main
contractor. Upon Approval of system design, the shop drawings will be prepared &
submitted. Inputs from survey on variations (If Any) at site shall be in corporated in the
shop drawings.

4.0 PROCURREMENT:

4.1 ALUMINIUM - EXTRUSION:

i) Al. Extrusion shall be procured according to standards stated in Technical


specifications & drawings.
ii) Material test certificate will be provided for Alum. Extrusions & Anodized material.
iii). MIR (Material Inspection Report) will be generated at the time of receipt of goods.
iv). Regular QA check will be maintained at site/factory to ensure work.

4.2 GLASS:
i). Glass will be procured as per approved make and shade from the approved
supplier only
Mentioned in System drawings.
ii). Glass Manufacturer certificates will be provided to the client.
iii) MIR (Material inspection report) will be generated at the time of receipt of goods.
4.3 HARDWARES AND ACCESSORIES:
i) All hardware’s and all accessories will be procured as per approved make /shade.
ii) Ordering of hardware’s item prior to client approval..
4.4 FINISHED GOODS:
i).Powder corted finish material will be processed from approved vendor after joint
decision between PDW & GMR .
ii). Powder corting shade /layer thickness will be checked as per our Quality ITP for
Quality Control.
iii). MIR (Material inspection report) will be generated at the time of receipt of goods.
iv). GMR can visit our processor for Audit to cross check the Quality processes
5.0 IN HOUSE -FABRICATION PROCESS:
i). Fabrication process will be carried in our factory itself at Dera Basi Plant.
ii). After Quality check and approvals of Aluminum goods, it will be issued to
production
department as per the production plan.
iii). Production will plan their activities according to the priorities required at site.
5.1 CUTTING PROCESS:
i) As per approved shop drawings, Profile length will be cut down to get desired size.
ii). Double header cutting machine will be used to cut these lengths.
iii. After cutting profile, the operator will ensure Correct Cutting finish, Correct Degree
/Angularity.
iv). After checking of section, Size /length will be mentioned with permanent marker
on
non-visible area.
5.2 MACHINNING PROCESS: Milling, Drilling, Notching Process:
i). As per approved Shop drawings profiles will be processes for notching/Milling
/Drilling as per the requirement to make system.
ii). After checking of Material process Quality it will be moved to Assembly
department for assembling.
5.3 ASSEMBLY - PROCESS:
i). Assembly department will receive the profiles in required sizes to make the
system.
ii). Assembly shop department operator will read the desired drawings to assemble
the parts.
iii). Angularity and correct 90 degree fitment will be checked before final assembling.
iv). All accessories will be installed with ref. to approved GMR drawings.
v). Final check will be done by production supervisor to ensure Final Quality of the
product.
vi) Quality Supervisor will check the fabricated material as per ITP checkpoints to
ensure to provide Quality product .
SUPPLY AND LOGISTICS:
6.1 Scope:
Supply and logistics department will help the production and installation work in a
smoother way,it also deals with priorities required by project team to ensure to the
fulfilment of the material as per the customer requirement.
6.2 Methodology:
i). All frames, shutters will be packed well with use of packing tapes and papers to
ensure no damages to the finished Goods during transportation of goods to site from
factory.
ii.) Set of frames will be stacked in such a way in vehicle that no movement is there
during movement, and no impact of material on each other to avoid any physical
transportation damages.
iii). All test certificates and reports will be provided to Client Site Quality team for all
types of material supplied or installed at site.
7.0 SAMPLE AND SAMPLE BOARD SUBMISSION AND APPROVAL:
Client will review and approve the system as per approved shop drawings and
site openings.

After client Final comments and approval – Pranav Doors & Windows will start
its procurement, fabrication & installation in full flash.

SAMPLE BOARD SUBMISSION:


A Sample board will be submitted to Client carrying all approved hardware’s and
accessories as per client and drawings specification.
After final approvals of sample board and glazing system, we will start our full and
final procurement, production and fabrication.
8.0 SITE - INSTALLATION:
i). At the initial stage , a Survey report will be submitted to client for any corrective
action required related to openings sizes and level correctness.
ii). Markings will be done as per approved shop drawings and floor finish level .
iii). During installation of frames a Water level test will be carried out to ensure correct
level.
iv). For installation of frames good quality of machines will be used at site.
v). All Frames & Glass will be protected by protection tape to ensure no damage/scratch
to the cotted surface of aluminum .
vi). Product code Marking will be available on the Assembled frames which will help
site execution team to install as per drawings and markings at the desired locations.
vii). All safety equipment’s /PPE items will be used by helpers/supervisors/Engineers
and all execution team whenever they are on the work place area
viii). After completing installation work – Floor wise /ELV wise a MIR (Site Installation
Report) will be generated and will be submitted to the Main client for their approval
and Final handover .
ix). Once the work completed and handover to the Main Client, Pranav Doors &
Windows will be no longer responsible for the damages, until instructed separately for
rectification or replacement by GMR.
8.1 Installation sequence :
Installation at site will be carried out in the below sequences with mutual coordination
with the client.
 Shifting of Frames to the desired location.
 Installation marking will be done as per client specifications.
 Frame fixing in the opening as per approved system drawings only after completion
of civil work in the openings area.
 Spirit leveling test will be carried out during installation to ensure Proper level.
 For fixing purpose nut bolt, fasteners, brackets, Screws, sleeves, packing shims will
be used as per approved drawings.
 At first we will fixed the brackets with approved fastener as per drawings.
 Then we will starting the installation of aluminum frame works with specify mullion
and transom.
 8. After installation of mullion and transom we will be fixed approved hardware Like
gasket, glass stopper spandrel try, Rockwool, flashing etc parallel.
 9. All Glasses will be fixed only after all major civil work is completed & after stage
pass done.
 10. we will be use hydra or other mechanism for glass lifting from yard to installation
point and installed it by winch machine or other equipment.
 11. After glass fixing we will be started the pressure plat and cover caps fixing also
parallels fixing the smoke seal and other flashings.
 12. Now the Silicone process will be carried as required.
 13. MIR will be raised to client to check the system.
 14. Snag list and handover will be done with mutual inspection of GMR and PD site
team.
9.0 SITE ACTIVITIES:
Following arrangements / facilities to be made at site.

9.1 Stores and office at site.


9.2 Manpower/Material mobilization.

9.1 STORES & OFFICE SET-UP AT SITE:


o The Office and Store at site shall be set up on discussing with client in a suitable
Location.
o Specified areas at the building will be required for stacking of finished goods at
site
The given floor should be PCC, so shutters, frames rest on even surface to avoid
the distortion/bend of the Shape of the finished goods.
 For office purpose we will require closed room in the building premises as per
mutual discussion & understanding with the client.
MANPOWER/MATERIAL MOBILIZATION.
Manpower usage will be done at site as per site requirement; every time our aim is
targeted to achieve the installation process on time.
Mobilization of Man power will be supervised by our Engineers/supervisors
according to the work flow at site.
Daily Our Safety supervisor will guide them regarding safety aspects & working
culture at site.
So, including fitters and helpers one safety officer to supervise the entire procedure
and site supervisor to check the installation work.
10.0 SAFETY PLAN:
10.1. Safety aspects at loading :
Correct position of panels at various loading stages & Final check before dispatch.
10.2. Safety aspects while transit:
Safety norms of driving & motivating people for safe and undamaged delivery.
10.3. Safety aspects while unloading:
Required manpower/mechanism and one Forman/Supervisor during unloading.
Proper position of panels while unloading
Pre-determined position of stacking immediately available to avoid unexpected stress on
workers.
Unloading in daylight and dry atmosphere.
Forman/Supervisor to guide workers on all times while unloading.
10.4 Safety Aspects Regarding Scaffolding And Platforms:
@ Scaffolding and safety accessories shall be checked before erecting and using on
required area location.
@Pranav Doors & Windows Pvt. Ltd, Safety officer shall approve the base preparation before
actual scaffolding erection.
@ On soil ground the hardness of place shall be ensured. Wooden planks shall be used for
packing and support against uneven concrete or ground surface.
@ The horizontal support to the system shall be at each floor as Per safety
requirements/norms.
@ Workers shall use two rope safety belts or Full body safety belt while erecting
scaffoldings.
@ Platforms shall be firmly fastened to main frames.
@ In case of mobile scaffolding one extra worker shall be along with arrangement for
supervision.
@ While erecting and dismantling adequate care shall be taken to pull up and sent down
the material and area will be barricade with Barricading tape.
10.5 Safety Aspects while fixing and drilling process at site:
- While Drilling the Hole Eye Protection like clear goggles will be used.
11.0 QUALITY PLAN AND METHOD:
Pranav Doors & Windows Pvt. ltd. Quality plan includes all checkpoints from
procurement to fabrication to installation to handover, which will identify every process
Quality.
We work in an environment which understands & improve its process on the customer
requirement in order to provide best Quality product in the market
12.0 PROJECT COMPLETION & HANDOVER:
Project handing over shall be done as per Floor wise/Elevation wise.
Pranav Doors & Windows Pvt. Ltd. Shall follow prescribed handover format as agreed
by Client and consultant.
SNAGLIST & HANDOVER:
Before handing over entire installation work shall be inspected and a snag list will be
prepared for the same.
Along with the clearance of snag list handover shall be done to client.
Once inspections are deemed acceptable and areas “handover”, PD responsibility to
these areas are now pasted onto the main contractor.
The protection and upkeep of these areas are no longer our responsibility unless
instructed to rectify defects caused by others.
