2 Executive SW Programming

2.1 Requirements
1. PC/Laptop
2. Programming tools
3. Executive SW Ver 1.2 files.

2.2 Executive SW Programming Procedure

2.2.1 Programming Procedure:

1. To program the Micro-Controller mounted in a PCB, we need USB_BDM-01 S/A with

appropriate cables and CF flasher application software.
2. Connect one end of the USB_BDM-01 S/A to USB port of the PC and another end to the 26
pin BDM connector mounted on PCB.
3. Switch ON the power to the PC and also apply required DC power to the module by
inserting the module into the programming Jig and it is powered ON.
4. Click on “CF Flasher” application exe from the desktop the following screen will appear on
the menu will appears on desktop.

5. Click “Target Config” button to open the “Target configuration” then window will be opened

6. Scroll down the target configuration option to select “M5282EVB(CFM)” as target device.

7. Now Scroll down the BDM communication option to select ““H_TBLCF” as

communication link.

8. After selection of the above mentioned parameters click “OK” button.

9. Then in the main CF Flasher window click “Erase” button. Erase window should be opened.
Press “Erase” button in this window.

10. After successful erasing click on “Done” button to close window

11. Now click the “Program” button in the main CF Flasher window then Program window will
be opened as shown , browse for the program “.elf ” S19 program file.
12. After selecting the appropriate program file press “Open” Button i.e to select desired file
that to be programmed into respective cards .
ex. CVC Card – Three Processors are to be programmed i.e VP1 , VP2 & SVP
CCC -Card- One processor
PPCC - Card - One Processor

Note: Ensure that while programming appropriate file only to be selected.

13. Now in the program window, tick the “Verify after program” check box and Click
“Program” button after appropriate selection as shown in Fig.8.

14. Progress bar will be displayed indicating programming status as shown in fig.9.

15. After successful programming the CF flasher s/w declares “Verify O.K !” message will be
displayed as shown in fig.10. Which indicates the successful programming of the micro-
controller with selected “.elf” program file.

16. Press “OK” button and then press “Done” button in program window to complete the
programming procedure. .
Note : To do another processor programming repeat the same procedure as described above.
