He has represented the Philippines in 2018 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in the ASEAN Regional Workshop on
STEM Education organized by the US Department of State, US Embassy Phnom Penh through the Young
Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative. He has completed professional certificate courses at the University of the
Philippines Open University (flexible learning in the new normal), Ateneo de manila Institute for the Science
and Art of Learning and Teaching (adaptive design learning), Arizona State University (master class in
leadership and instruction), Agricultural Training Institute (agri-business). He also completed and received
Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) certificates from Cornell University, New York, USA on Civic Ecology
and Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, USA on COVID-19 Vaccine Ambassador Training.
His multi- and inter-disciplinary community and academic works include being a module writer in CHED and
Deped funded programs, STEM-related project consultant of private corporations, and professional
development trainer of public and private school teachers in the area of assessment and teaching.
Asst. Prof. Soldivillo is also actively working for HerStore Asia---an initiative empowering women artisans in
the Philippines. He specifically works to promote digital literacy among women, persons with disabilities, and
budding artisans.
This mid-year, he conducted and led a training of trainers on Coconut Farm Business School at Lamac
Multipurpose Cooperative Cocohub, Tuburan, Cebu. Last August, he also trained young leaders in a 4H
Agripreneurship Program, a Capability Enhancement Training for Youth in Agriculture.
Among his recent achievements, Joshua got the Best Presenter Award at the National and International
Conference on Education 2023 held at Hat Yai, Songkhla, Thailand competing against paper presenters from
the Southeast Asian universities last June. Last October, he presented his paper in Hanoi, Vietnam and got
elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Network of Educators on Environment.
At present, he is a full-time and part-time faculty of the SU Senior High School and SU College of Education,
respectively. Moreover, he is the director of Project STEAMify. Additionally, he is a National Trainer in
Physical Science of the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC). Joshua appears on TV on Channel 6,
Fil Products every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday as he is a host of Silliman University’s official magazine TV
show called #SILLIMAN. This year, he is in his final stage as a PhD student in Research and Evaluation at
Silliman University.
On a personal note, Joshua enjoys farming and gardening. He also spends time with his puppies. He’s fond of
travelling and trying new gastronomic experiences. He likes to watch anime, movies, series, and
documentaries.
