BLACK MAGIC SFT (Sacked Fishing Tools ) is a dry, powdered
mixture of optimum-size air-blown asphalt, lime, fatty acids, and
dispersants.
Features and Benefits
BLACK MAGIC SFT is engineered to build a complete oil mud
spotting fluid. The spot can be prepared at the rig location. A
single-sack product when added to oil provides all the properties
required for suspension of weight material. It can easily be
weighted to18.0 lb/gal (2160 kg/m³).
BLACK MAGIC SFT can be easily stored at the rig site to prepare
a spotting fluid when needed. Storage of sacks is more
convenient than compounded liquid drum products.
Application
BLACK MAGIC SFT is a variable-density spotting fluid used for
stuck pipe. It is also possible to build or supplement a BLACK
MAGIC spotting fluid with BLACK MAGIC SFT.

1. Clean mixing pit and flush pump with water.
2. Add oil as per chart.
3. Add BLACK MAGIC SFT through hopper with agitation.
4. Add water and agitate to a smooth blend.
5. Add MIL-BAR® agitate to a smooth blend.
6. To raise viscosity, add BLACK MAGIC SFT.
7. To reduce viscosity, add oil.

Transportation of BLACK MAGIC SFT is not restricted by
international or USA regulatory agencies.
Safe Handling Recommendations
Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling
chemical products. Use of appropriate respirator, gloves, goggles,
and apron is recommended for employee com-fort and protection.

Packaging
Recommended Treatment BLACK MAGIC SFT is packaged in 55 lb (25 kg) multi-wall bags.
For 100 barrels (15.9 m³) of prepared BLACK MAGIC SFT,
thoroughly mix the following amounts of materials, shown in the Density Base Oil* BLACK MAGIC SFT Water MIL-BAR (ppg)
