1. PURPOSE
The purpose is to document procedure to produce clarified and de-mineralized water for boiler operation

2. SCOPE
This procedure is applicable to power generation within the organization
3. DEFINITIONS

4. RESPONSIBILITY
The Head of Chemistry shall be responsible for availability of resources and other requirement for the
procedure

6. RISK INVOLVED AND MITIGATION


Procedure of chemistry is complicated procedure which involves certain risks as given below
a) Fire and explosion, chemical hazards
b) Wastes are disposed off in a way to pollute the environment
c) Illness and Occupational health issues
d) Chemical contamination due to use of chemicals
Mitigation involves
a) Proper training and awareness to be given to all the employees regarding
b) Sludge to be disposed in manner specified as per directive
c) Proper maintenance of the units to eliminate any occupational risks
d) Proper work permits, trainings and strict supervision while on work, especially chemicals
