Back ground of the study

Budgeting is an essential life skill that everyone should possess, regardless of


age or financial standing. Developing effective budgeting habits at an early
age can have a significant impact on an individual's financial we are all-being
in the future. In this research, we will focus on understanding the art of
budgeting specifically among grade 10 students.

Grade 10 is a critical stage in a student's academic journey, where they begin


to develop a sense of independence and start making decisions that can shape
their future. It is during this time that students should be introduced to the
concept of budgeting to help them better manage their finances and develop
responsible spending habits.

The art of budgeting involves a combination of financial literacy, planning,


and discipline. By learning how to create and adhere to a budget, grade 10
students can gain a better understanding of their income and expenses, identify
areas where they can save money, and set financial goals for themselves.

This research aims to explore the current level of understanding and


knowledge about budgeting among grade 10 students. It will delve into their
awareness of budgeting concepts, their ability to create and follow a budget,
and the factors that influence their financial decisions.

Process and Factors Leading to the decision to Implement this management
tools. Budgets are management tool universally recognize for their ability to
support planning and efficient management of resources and activities
By understanding the art of budgeting among grade 10 students, educators,
parents, and policymakers can develop targeted interventions and educational
programs to enhance financial literacy skills. This research will provide
valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities surrounding budgeting
education for grade 10 students, ultimately empowering them to make
informed financial decisions throughout their lives.
