The matching solution for all demands
The MIRA wood-aluminium system offers a varied assortment of profiles with customized solu-
tions for all demands, from residential buildings to major construction projects. The classic, off-
set design is based on solid technology with excellent characteristic values. All standard window
constructions, opening variations, and window shapes, including slanted windows, round arches,
segmental arches, and lancet arches, are available in different profile designs.
• System Description
→ The MIRA system may be realized in double rebate or single rebate design (without sash gasket).
→ The profiles are available with radii at the exposed edge as well as in angular design for spe-
cial architectural requirements. A variety of mullion and transom profiles for optimal profile
joints as well as improved structural connection solutions, round up this product line.
→ The system features a proven fastening technology, which ensures easy-to-assemble and
cost-effective fastening of the aluminium shells on the wood components. The available base
heights further facilitate compensation for different wood projections.
→ Window design may also be carried out composite sash construction as sash variation or as
Spree adaptation. Frame connections are either welded or supplied with sturdy, punched cor-
ner joints.
→ The combination of wood and architectural bronze with punched corner joints is also suitable
for this system.

• System Description
→ The GUTMANN NORDWIN aluminium system may be mounted without changes in the wood
cross section.
→ The additional processing of glass beads, which is normally time-consuming and costly, is not
necessary here as the aluminium sash profile replaces the glass beads.
→ Aluminium frames are mounted field-by-field onto a multipart window, which allows an effi-
cient installation of the aluminium frames.
→ Mullion, transom, fixed glazing, double rebated, and component coupling are possible as
well.
→ Profiles create clear lines with small radii at the exposed edge.
→ GUTMANN NORDWIN may be complemented with accessories from the GUTMANN MIRA
system without any limitations.

A modular system – Room for ideas
The mullion-transom glazing system LARA GF offered by GUTMANN is a curtain wall system ideal
for large-area and multi-level glass surfaces divided up in many sections. GUTMANN LARA GF is
just as suitable for sophisticated glass roofs as it is for classic winter gardens.
In combination with the passive house-certified window system GUTMANN MIRA therm 08, the
highly insulating mullion-transom curtain wall system GUTMANN LARA GF is an intelligent solution
for superior passive house curtain wall construction. This innovative system gives architects, fab-
ricators, and partners high-quality technology and nearly endless freedom in designing.
The GUTMANN LARA 2-way-SG variant reduces the visible frame parts on the building exterior to a
minimum. The glass elements lie flush, creating maximum transparency and ease of construction.
• System Description
→ The glazing system is screwed onto simple square glue-laminated wood pieces or onto certified
laminated veneer wood pieces (e.g. steel or aluminium beams). Therefore, no special preparation
of the transom profile is necessary.
→ GUTMANN LARA GF features maximum tightness, even with multiple divided sections. It facilitates
overlap of the interior mullion-transom gaskets on four levels at the T-joint and thus gives archi-
tects and planners more room to realize their ideas.
→ The glass is taken up completely within the profile system. Glass thicknesses of 9 to 50 mm are
possible.
→ The wood attachment construction in 50 mm face widths offers further curtain wall design options.
→ GUTMANN LARA GF can be manufactured in different face widths of 50, 60, or 80 mm.
→ A large selection of well thought-out connecting profiles and accessories completes the system.
Gasket profiles suitable for use in self-cleaning glass are standard articles.
→ The GUTMANN LARA GF system is also available with architectural bronze for especially sophisti-
cated architecture.

GUTMANN TWINLOC
A quantum leap in connecting technology
GUTMANN TWINLOC was designed to connect mullions and transoms for vertical curtain walls, or
purlins and rafters of wooden roof structures with wood face widths ranging from 50 mm to 80 mm.
In Germany, those types of connectors may only be used if their load-bearing capacities are prov-
en in non-ambiguous calculations.
GUTMANN TWINLOC connectors fully meet the requirements of the Building Inspectorate Approval
for mullion-transom and purlin-rafter connections. General Building Inspectorate Approval Z-9.1-
682.
This allows GUTMANN to offer the involved woodworking companies the security of an approval
for narrow winter garden wood roof structures as it is required for load-bearing components in win-
ter garden roofs.
• System Description
→ Extremely sturdy due to perfect form and force fits.
→ Increased load-bearing capacity using simple means.
→ Easy to assemble: The transom is hooked in from the side or inserted from the rear.
→ Quick connection: The central connecting bolt secures in all three dimensions.
→ Versatile applications: Several connector lengths to suit the transom height.
→ Easy to assemble with drill and mill template.
→ Precise fitting: Depth stop via transom milling.
→ Perfect visual design: Concealed framework on three sides.
→ Closed joints by tightening only one screw to full connector length.
→ Easy to mount: Two identical connector parts.
→ Identical mounting for single and double connections.
→ Shear plates provide torsional protection against off-center glass load.
→ Guaranteed stability.
