GUTMANN MIRA
The matching solution for all demands
The MIRA wood-aluminium system offers a varied assortment of profiles with customized solu-
tions for all demands, from residential buildings to major construction projects. The classic, off-
set design is based on solid technology with excellent characteristic values. All standard window
constructions, opening variations, and window shapes, including slanted windows, round arches,
segmental arches, and lancet arches, are available in different profile designs.

• System Description
→ The MIRA system may be realized in double rebate or single rebate design (without sash gasket).
→ The profiles are available with radii at the exposed edge as well as in angular design for spe-
cial architectural requirements. A variety of mullion and transom profiles for optimal profile
joints as well as improved structural connection solutions, round up this product line.
→ The system features a proven fastening technology, which ensures easy-to-assemble and
cost-effective fastening of the aluminium shells on the wood components. The available base
heights further facilitate compensation for different wood projections.
→ Window design may also be carried out composite sash construction as sash variation or as
Spree adaptation. Frame connections are either welded or supplied with sturdy, punched cor-
ner joints.

GUTMANN LARA GF 50
A modular system – Room for ideas
The mullion-transom glazing system LARA GF offered by GUTMANN is a curtain wall system ideal
for large-area and multi-level glass surfaces divided up in many sections. GUTMANN LARA GF is
just as suitable for sophisticated glass roofs as it is for classic winter gardens.

In combination with the passive house-certified window system GUTMANN MIRA therm 08, the
highly insulating mullion-transom curtain wall system GUTMANN LARA GF is an intelligent solution
for superior passive house curtain wall construction. This innovative system gives architects, fab-
ricators, and partners high-quality technology and nearly endless freedom in designing.

The GUTMANN LARA 2-way-SG variant reduces the visible frame parts on the building exterior to a
minimum. The glass elements lie flush, creating maximum transparency and ease of construction.

• System Description
→ The glazing system is screwed onto simple square glue-laminated wood pieces or onto certified
laminated veneer wood pieces (e.g. steel or aluminium beams). Therefore, no special preparation
of the transom profile is necessary.
→ GUTMANN LARA GF features maximum tightness, even with multiple divided sections. It facilitates
overlap of the interior mullion-transom gaskets on four levels at the T-joint and thus gives archi-
tects and planners more room to realize their ideas.
→ The glass is taken up completely within the profile system. Glass thicknesses of 9 to 50 mm are
possible.
→ The wood attachment construction in 50 mm face widths offers further curtain wall design options.
→ GUTMANN LARA GF can be manufactured in different face widths of 50, 60, or 80 mm.
→ A large selection of well thought-out connecting profiles and accessories completes the system.
Gasket profiles suitable for use in self-cleaning glass are standard articles.
→ The GUTMANN LARA GF system is also available with architectural bronze for especially sophisti-
cated architecture.

GUTMANN TWINLOC
A quantum leap in connecting technology
GUTMANN TWINLOC was designed to connect mullions and transoms for vertical curtain walls, or
purlins and rafters of wooden roof structures with wood face widths ranging from 50 mm to 80 mm.
In Germany, those types of connectors may only be used if their load-bearing capacities are prov-
en in non-ambiguous calculations.

GUTMANN TWINLOC connectors fully meet the requirements of the Building Inspectorate Approval
for mullion-transom and purlin-rafter connections. General Building Inspectorate Approval Z-9.1-
682.

This allows GUTMANN to offer the involved woodworking companies the security of an approval
for narrow winter garden wood roof structures as it is required for load-bearing components in win-
ter garden roofs.

The easy-to-assemble technology is another advantage. Previously, the customary connectors

consisted of various individual parts and different materials. This GUTMANN product is made from
one basic form. Then two individual parts are mirrored and hooked to one another.

• System Description
→ Extremely sturdy due to perfect form and force fits.
→ Increased load-bearing capacity using simple means.
→ Easy to assemble: The transom is hooked in from the side or inserted from the rear.
→ Quick connection: The central connecting bolt secures in all three dimensions.
→ Versatile applications: Several connector lengths to suit the transom height.
→ Easy to assemble with drill and mill template.
→ Precise fitting: Depth stop via transom milling.
→ Perfect visual design: Concealed framework on three sides.
→ Closed joints by tightening only one screw to full connector length.
→ Easy to mount: Two identical connector parts.
→ Identical mounting for single and double connections.
→ Shear plates provide torsional protection against off-center glass load.
→ Guaranteed stability.

GUTMANN Window Handles

Good design opens up options
Only if handles and windows speak the same design language is the overall impression right. As
such, the GUTMANN light metal handle family for seam drives with 7 mm hexagonal pin is ideally
matched to the GUTMANN fittings R 5 and RI 5. The standard handle is available in the colours white
and stainless steel appearance.

The design handle in the stainless steel appearance and titanium look surfaces was designed
exclusively for Gutmann. It convinces with high quality, especially heavy design as a whole metal
handle including whole metal collar. The timeless, straight line shape in combination with the
select stainless steel appearance stands for elegance and quality.

All handle designs are based on a spring and available with an oval collar.

The design of the GUTMANN handles is made with fastening material and 24 mm long hexagonal
pins.

GUTMANN Window Sill Holder RV-TI

The perfect addition to metal window sills
The processing guidelines state that window sill holders must be placed every 60 cm if window
sills exceed a certain length and project 150 mm or more.“All-aluminium” holders (non-insulated)
conduct the cold temperatures and allow them to penetrate behind the thermally insulated curtain
wall into the brickwork.

The thermally broken GUTMANN window sill holder RV-TI prevents unnecessary loss of heat. This
new intelligent accessory from the standard product range at GUTMANN is – as always – easy to
process. Assembly is just as quick as that of conventional holders.

The advantages of the thermally broken window sill holder RV-TI become most obvious when com-
bined with thermally insulated curtain walls (ETICS).

• Product Details
→ Effectively contributes to thermal insulation.
→ Positive modification of surface temperature by 60 %.
→ A “plus” in all external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS).
→ Easy to install.

GUTMANN Sliding Closure KF 400/KF 250

Practical & safe – Technology and appearance combined
This innovative product further proves how competent GUTMANN is when it comes to exterior alu-
minium window sills. This visually appealing slim, elastic window sill closure is available in white,
grey and brown. It features a plaster edge width of 22 mm and meets the requirements of planners
and architects just as much as those of customers and processing businesses.

• Product Details
→ Appealing appearance due to narrow design.
→ Integrated expansion compensation (3 mm on each side).
→ Cost-effective processing: ONE PIECE (clip on and you’re done!).
→ Resistant to heavy rain (system test at the Institute for Window Technology, Rosenheim).
→ Weather and UV-resistant.
→ Ideal for use in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS).
→ Available in overhang depths from 50 to 500 mm for the GUTMANN GS 40 window sill system.
→ Available in overhang depths from 50 to 380 mm for the GUTMANN GS 25 window sill system.
→ Available in white, grey and brown.

GUTMANN Sliding Closure MF 400/MF 250

The elastic aluminium sliding closure prevents plaster cracks at the window.
Aluminium window sills are exposed to temperature fluctuations. In the event of cold, they con-
tract, in the event of heat they expand. This creates the risk of plaster cracks occuring. Not with
the sliding closure MF  400/MF  250 from GUTMANN. The elastic aluminium sliding closure allows
three milimeter expansion compensation and thereby prevents the plaster and the wall around the
window from being damaged.

• Product Details
→ No plaster cracks – stainless-steel spring makes mechanical expansion compensation up to
3 mm possible.
→ Ideal for use in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS).
→ Tight corner seal – tested in ETICS curtain wall elements.
→ Available for overhang depths ranging from 110 mm to 500 mm for GUTMANN window sill systems.
→ Available in our standard colours white, silver, and brown; however, all RAL colours are possible.
