Overwhelming majority disadvantaged and underserved patient population. The majority of
patients have substance abuse disorder, and other comorbid disorders. . Other conditions include
major depressive disorder (MDD), general anxiety disorder (GAD), bipolar disorder (I&II),
schizophrenia and many others.

While medical care is relatively inexpensive in Ukraine, relatively few people in Ukraine own cars.
As such, it is extremely difficult for some (especially the elderly) to visit medical facilities. Katya was
working as a medical assistant, performing blood pressure screening and giving vitamins shots at
the community medical center.
