Ma, M. (2021). “Design and Realisation of Residential Property
Management Information System” Through the investigation of multiple
residential communities, it was found that almost all of the communities under
investigation did not use the property management system, and still used
manual ‘work’ methods to manage the communities. At the same time, a large
number of texts, tables and graphics were collected during the survey.
Analyzing the received data, it is found that the data is diversified, the format
is random and the filling is random, which involve all aspects of property
management. Subsequently, we organize and analyze the collected data,
extract data structure and functional requirements and determine the system
development technical framework. Owner information. In the property
management, all owner information and resident information need to be
registered in detail, and updated and maintained in time, and therefore, the
owner information management function needs to be established, which
directly determines whether the residential property management information
system can provide high-quality property management services; owner
information mainly includes name, identity card, sex, telephone, address,
community, building, unit, floor, room number, creation time, update time,
status and version number among other elements.

The study by Mingze Ma supports our research on a system for managing

residential information in a barangay. It highlights that many communities still
use manual methods for property management. This reinforces the importance
of having a well-organized digital system for owner information, which is a key
aspect of our proposed project.

Michael, D. (2019). “Benefits of a Property Management System”. The use of

traditional paperwork in property management may lead to security
vulnerabilities, potentially resulting in the exposure of sensitive information
and details. Conventional paper-based methods offer limited access control,
making sensitive information susceptible to unauthorized access. In contrast,
property management systems equipped with digital security features enable
property managers to maintain the confidentiality of data. These systems allow
the installation of access controls and encryption, ensuring that only
authorized personnel can access sensitive information related to property
management. This capability offers an enhanced level of privacy and data
security, assuring tenants and stakeholders that their information is protected.

The literature above is related to our study because it emphasizes the

significance of using digital systems, like the one we are proposing, to enhance
data security, access control, and privacy in property management. These
principles of data security, access control, and privacy are pertinent to any
system dealing with sensitive information, including our proposed residential
information management system for the barangay.

According to Ralph Angelo Facundo “Barangay San Pedro

Computerized System” is a system that reduced the hard and longtime

procedure of accessing files and records it kept the system was also census-

like system of the barangay for all its constituents and new people to live in the

place the system was effective maintaining, searching and storing records of all

the residents in the Barangay. This also included the issuance of clearance.

This helped the worker save time on searching files and records they need.

The literature above discusses that the system developed by Ralph

Angelo Facundo that has a computerized system demonstrates how digital

streamlined record keeping, improved the efficiency, and facilitated data

management in a barangay. This literature is relevant to the present study

because both provide record keeping processes, save time, and improve

efficiency in a barangay.

Villones, T. T. (2021). "Barangay Constituents Information and Services Management

System." International Journal of Computer Science and Mobile Computing,
10(4), 63-66. According to Teresita T. The Barangay currently uses a manual
process in issuing Barangay Certificates, Business Permit, Summon Letter, etc.
This caused a lengthy procedure in accessing the records and files, which
sometimes caused record redundancy. The study's objective was to design and
develop a Barangay Constituents Information and Services Management
System to improve record retrieval in the Barangay. The general objective of the
study was to develop and design a Barangay Constituents Information and
Services Management System for the improvement of record retrieval in the
barangay. Specifically, it aimed to achieve the following: 1. Design and develop
a BCISMS for the following features: searching barangay records, managing
health records, generating barangay reports, and graphical analysis of
barangay census.

Similar to our research, the study was conducted by Teresita T. Villones aimed
to address the challenges in record within the barangay. The system was
designed for the efficiency and accuracy of managing various types of records
including Barangay certificates, business permits, summon letters, and more.

In a similar vein, our research on the residential information management

system for Barangay also aims to achieve these goals by developing a system
that streamlines record management, promotes data accuracy, and facilitates
efficient data retrieval, all of which are critical components of effective barangay
administration.

(2017). "Computerized Information System in Barangay Poblacion, Danao
City". According to the researcher’s the system used by the officials from
barangay poblacion in danao city is using a manual based process for all
services to its constituent. the staff encountered difficulties and long procedure
in retrieving, recording, computing and processing .

The presented literature above is related to the present study because it

highlights the use of a manual based process for services in barangay
poblacion,Danao City, which aligns with the challenges in information retrieval
and recording that our study aims to address through the development of a
computerized system for residential information management in barangays.
