The table gives information about the sources of police budget and the pie charts
show the allocation of this budget.

Overall, it is obvious that the all budget sources had an upward trend, and local
taxes increased the most among the given sources. In terms of spending, both
technology and salaries witnessed a change in these figures, buildings and
transport remained unchanged.

Out of the total 304.7 million pounds in 2017, the number for national government
budget was 175.5 million, 2 million pounds lower than that of budget in 2018. By
contrast, the budget from local taxes climbed considerably from 91.2 million to
102.3 million pounds. Other sources, such as grants had a slight rise from 38 to just
38.5 million. After a year, the figure for total funding increased to 177.9 million
pounds

As for funding distribution, salaries made up 75% of the budget, while that of the
next year was 69%. The funding allocating to technology rose from 8% to 14%, at
the same time, expenditure on buildings and transport remained unstable at 17%
throughout the surveyed period.
