It is the order of birds with the most species recorded in the

world. It is made up of between 5,700 and 6,500 species and its


members are commonly called birds or songbirds. They are
characterized by being small, flying, nidicolous and having 4
fingers on each leg. Some of the most representative species of
this order are canaries, sparrows, finches, ravens and
goldfinches.

They are usually deciduous trees, they avoid leafy coniferous


forests whenever they can. It can also be seen in gardens or
parks. This species is distributed throughout much of Europe. It
makes nests in tree holes, either in a natural cavity or in old
woodpecker holes.

The bases of its diet are caterpillars, aphids and other insects,
although this diet can be supplemented with the intake of
various seeds and fruits. On the other hand, among its predators
are kestrels and wild cats.
