Devising Action Plans
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: (3 items x 50 points)
1. In connection to earlier performance tasks, devise action plans for the three (3) most important
environmental considerations of your chosen organization.
2. Based on the results of the conducted legislative and regulatory audit in 05 Task Performance 1,
rank the environmental considerations (planning and land issues, hazardous substances, air, water,
noise, waste) using the assessment criterion (introduced on Page 3 of 03 Handout 1): three
(3) for a high rating, two (2) for an average rating, and one (1) for a low rating.
3. In ranking the environmental considerations, you may also refer to data during the initial
environmental review in 03 Task Performance 1.
4. For each environmental consideration, adhere to the following guidelines:
o Craft appropriate program objectives and identify the required resources to undertake
the set objectives.
o Allocate time (in weeks, months, or years) to finish the program objectives. Use January
2021 as the start date and set realistic deadlines for their completion.
o The scores for priority of importance shall be derived from the assessment criterion
(explained above) used to rank the environmental considerations.
o Identify the key steps that must be undertaken to accomplish the program objectives
(from audit to monitoring phase). Refer to Page 4 of 08 Handout 1 for the examples.
o Assign personnel (environmental manager, site manager, transport manager, etc.)
responsible for undertaking the key steps.
o Assess and list down the challenges that might be encountered in each given key step.
Finally, set deadlines for each listed key step.
