1. In a chlorination tank, 99% of microbial removal (E.coli) is aimed. The time of contact is applied
as 3 min. Check whether the 99% removal is achieved or not (k= 0.46 min-1). If not calculate
the total required contact of time for 99% removal.

2. The following data (% survivals) was obtained after a chlorination test with a specified
microorganism group. Determine the values of constants in the Chick and Watson equation
for 99% reduction.
