II. Descriptive Title ART APPRECIATION
III. Course Description Art Appreciation is a three-unit course that develops student’s ability, appreciate, analyze and critique works of art. Through
interdisciplinary and multimodal approaches, this course equips students with a broad knowledge of the practical,
philosophical, and social relevance of the arts in order to hone student’s ability to articulate their understanding of the arts.
The course also develops student’s competency in researching and curating art as well as conceptualizing, mounting, and
evaluating art productions. The course aims to develop student’s genuine appreciation for the Philippine arts by providing
them opportunities to explore the diversity and richness and their rootedness in Filipino culture.

XI. Program Outcomes Bachelor of Science in Nursing

1. Integrate knowledge of physical, social, natural and health sciences and humanities in the practice of nursing.
2. Create a safe, appropriate, and holistic care to the individuals, families, population groups and community utilizing nursing
process.
3. Implement guidelines and principles of evidence-based practice in the delivery of nursing care.
4. Practice nursing in accordance with existing laws, legal, ethical, and moral principles

5. Communicate effectively in speaking, writing and presenting using culturally-appropriate languages.
6. Document to include reporting up-to-date client care accurately and comprehensively.
7. Collaborate effectively and efficiency with inter, intra, and multi-disciplinary, and multi- cultural teams.
8. Practice beginning management and leadership skills in the delivery of client care using systems approach.
9. Generate knowledge through the conduct of nursing research with an experienced researcher
10. Engage in lifelong learning with a passion to keep current with national and global development in general and nursing
and health developments in particular.
11. Demonstrate responsible citizenship and pride in being Filipino through promotion of Filipino culture, values, and
tradition.
12. Utilize techno- intelligent care system and processes in health care delivery.
13. Uphold the nursing core values in the practice of the profession.
14. Employ entrepreneurial skills in the delivery of nursing care.
XII. Course (Subject) Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Identify and discuss the different places where in various indigenous crafts be made/originated.
2. Analyse and appreciate arts in general, including their functions, value, and historical significance.
3. Identify and analyse elements and principles of design and use them in creating their own masterpiece.
4. Evaluate art genres from different eras applying artistic principles and theories.
5. Create products/projects in wood, leather, coconut shell, bamboo, and other creative crafts.
6. Create own masterpiece and mount an online art exhibit.
7. Utilize art for self-expression and promotion of advocacy.
8. Deepen sensitivity to self, community, and society through self-reflection and artistic expression.
9. Discover Ilocano identity through art with respect to their culture, and religion.
10. Demonstrate love for Ilocano/Filipino culture through visual/ performing or literary artistic expression
