INTRODUCTION
❖ Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited is the largest industrial paint and third largest decorative paint company of India
headquartered in Mumbai.
❖ It is a subsidiary of Kansai Paint of Japan which was founded by Katsujiro Iwai in Amagasaki City, Japan in May 1918.
❖ Mr. Anuj Jain has been appointed as the Managing Director of Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd w.e.f. 1st April 2022.
HISTORY
Year Milestones
1920 Incorporated as Gahagan Paints and Varnish Company

1933 Lead Industries Group acquired 100% stake of Gahagan


Paints and the company was renamed as Goodlass Wall

1957 Goodlass Wall Pvt. Ltd. grew popular as Goodlass Nerolac


Paints Ltd.
1999 Kansai Paint Co. Ltd. , Japan took over the entire stake
of Goodlass Nerolac Paints became wholly owned
subsidiary of Kansai Paint Company Ltd
2006 On 11 July, Goodlass Paint Ltd. name was changed to
Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd.

 Launched online tools such as paint calculators that help the customers in
using its products efficiently. Online apps include Nerolac – Colour MySpace,
and Nerolac Pragati.

 During the year, the company focused on increasing the premium product
range while broadening its health and hygiene divisions.

 It has plans to expand and strengthen its footprint outside India organically
and inorganically.

 The company has expanded beyond India through acquisitions in Nepal and
Bangladesh and a Greenfield JV project in Sri Lanka.
