Subject : Submission of Papers for Upgrading and Reclassification of Positions

Date : August 15, 2016

1. This is to inform the field that reclassification of teacher positions T-II, T-III, MT-1, MT-II, MT-III,
PI, PII, PIII positions are now open.
2. For Master Teacher positions, please check the qualification standard for Master Teacher criteria (as
per enclosure to DECS Order No. 57,s. 1997)
3. To facilitate the screening and evaluation of the documents of applicants for reclassification, this
office shall follow the procedures in processing Equivalent Record Form (ERF) which starts, for
Elementary, in School level, District level, Schools Division Office (SDO), then Regional Office
(RO). For the Secondary, School level, PSDS in-charge, SDO, RO.
4. It is understood that all applicants for Master Teacher position are willing to be assigned/deployed in
any schools within the district where his/her services is necessary.
5. Please be guided on the schedule of activities relative to this activity:
August 19, 2016 - Submission to District Office
August 22, 2016 - Submission of pertinent documents from District Office to Schools
Division Office
August 22-23, 2016 - On site validation of applicants
September 6, 2016 – Written exam and interview (for MT positions only)
6. Qualified applicants are advised to submit their papers (1 copy each) in red folder.
7. Immediate and wide dissemination of this memorandum is desired.
Requirements for submission at School level (3 copies each)

1. Original copies duly accomplished ERF


2. Form 212 revised form 2005 duly accomplished with picture and thumbmark
3. Updated Service Record
4. Performance Ratings for 2 periods
5. Latest Appointment
6. Renewed PRC License
7. Transcript of Records. For teachers who are non-teacher education graduates, units earned in education
should be included in the TOR
8. Latest Pay slip

QUALIFICATIONS FOR TEACHER II (BSE + 20)

1. At least one year of relevant experience


2. Bachelor’s Degree for teacher+ 20 graduate units /20 years length of service
a. BSE + 20 MA units
b. BSE + 20 years
c. BSE + 18 MA units + 6 years
d. BSE + 15 MA units + 8 years

QUALIFICATIONS FOR TEACHER III (MA EQUIVALENT)

1. Master’s degree in education / 42 MA units =MA degree or MA equivalent


 All holders of Master’s degree are classified as MA Degree
a. BSE + 20 MA units + 20 years
b. BSE + 20 years + 18 MA units + level IV
c. BSE + 42 MA units
