You are a Technical Security & Risk Consultant at AXA Bhd an IT security related company.
You are asked to write a short article related to common cyber security risks, threats and
vulnerabilities to all the cyber cafes managers and how to overcome them for the purpose of
raising awareness about security threats. You need to determine the types of threats that can
occur to cyber cafes as well as what security measures need to be taken to counter them.

1.0 INTRODUCTION

Firstly, computer security is the protection of computer systems and the data that they store or
access. A computer security risk is anything on users' computer that may damage or steal their
data or allow someone else to access their computer, without the user knowledge or consent.
There has been a large increase in the number of computer-related securitv incidents in recent
years. The reason for the increase is due to the increasingly complex computing environment.
Furthermore, the era of network and the Internet has increased the number of possible entry
points for attacks launched in computer. Hence, there are a lot of different things that can create
a computer risk.

Next, security measures is defined as the ways to overcome the computer security risk. Security
measure also a security controls to your networks to protect confidentially, integrity, and
availability. These controls continue to evolve but there is a lot of fundamental knowledge that
readilv available. Implementation of securitv measures is important to avoid or reduce the
security risk faced by users and organizations in using computer network. There are seven types
of security measure such as data backup, cryptography, anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall,
physical access control and human aspect such as awareness.
