ABSTRACT

Industrial accidents present a significant threat to worker safety and the

sustainability of industries across diverse sectors. This comprehensive research
project delves into the analysis and management of accidents in industry with the
aim of understanding their causes, developing effective prevention strategies, and
enhancing safety measures. Chapter One introduces the project, highlighting the
importance of accident analysis and management, defining objectives, and
emphasizing its significance in safeguarding workers and industry viability.
Chapter Two, the Literature Review, provides historical context, delves into the
causes and classifications of industrial accidents, and explores existing accident
analysis and management methods. Notable case studies illustrate successful
accident prevention strategies. Chapter Three outlines the methodology, covering
data collection from various sources, quantitative and qualitative analysis
techniques, accident management strategies, risk assessment, and ethical
considerations. Chapter Four, Results and Findings, presents analyzed accident
data, identifies common causes, and reveals temporal patterns. Root cause analysis
provides insights into human error, equipment failures, and organizational factors.
Best practices and safety measures are derived, and risk assessment outcomes
highlight high-risk areas and the effectiveness of safety measures. Chapter Five,
the Discussion, interprets the implications of findings, compares them with
existing literature, acknowledges limitations, and offers recommendations.
Tailored approaches, technological solutions, and safety culture cultivation are
emphasized as keys to accident prevention.
