I trust this message finds you well. I am writing to provide an explanation for the delay in
submission of claims.

I am a student at IIIT Dharwad, and unfortunately, I suffered a hand fracture while on

campus. The local doctor in Dharwad recommended surgery, and it was advised that I
undergo the procedure in Delhi to receive support from my family during the recovery
period.

Consequently, I traveled to Delhi and underwent surgery on September 11, 2023. The
treating doctor prescribed a bed rest period of one and a half months for a full recovery.
During this time, I was not made aware of the specific submission deadlines for insurance
documents, and regrettably, my college did not provide this information either.

Upon returning to IIIT Dharwad, I became aware of the insurance submission policy. I
sincerely apologize for the delay in submitting my insurance documents and any
inconvenience this may have caused.

I kindly request your understanding and consideration in this matter.
