Title of Research: The Use of Onion, Garlic, Chili, and Pulverized Dry Citronella Grass as

Organic Insecticides for Mosquitoes

Control Variable: Temperature and humidity in the experimental environment

Dependent Variable: Mosquito repellency
Independent Variable: Combination of onion, garlic, chili, and pulverized dry citronella grass

Materials:
Onion
Garlic
Chili
Pulverized dry citronella grass
Mosquitoes
Experimental containers
Stopwatch
Data recording sheets

Experimentation:

Set-ups:
Control group: No organic insecticides applied
Trial 2: Onion as an organic insecticide
Trial 3: Garlic as an organic insecticide
Trial 4: Chili as an organic insecticide
Trial 5: Pulverized dry citronella grass as an organic insecticide

Trial 1: Control Group

- In this trial, no organic insecticides will be applied to the experimental containers.
- Measure mosquito repellency effectiveness without any organic insecticide.

Trial 2: Onion as an Organic Insecticide

- Apply onion as the organic insecticide to the experimental containers.
- Measure the mosquito repellency with onion as the independent variable.

Trial 3: Garlic as an Organic Insecticide

- Apply garlic as the organic insecticide to the experimental containers.
- Measure the mosquito repellency with garlic as the independent variable.

Trial 4: Chili as an Organic Insecticide

- Apply chili as the organic insecticide to the experimental containers.
- Measure the mosquito repellency with chili as the independent variable.
Trial 5: Pulverized Dry Citronella Grass as an Organic Insecticide
- Apply pulverized dry citronella grass as the organic insecticide to the experimental containers.
- Measure the mosquito repellency with pulverized dry citronella grass as the independent
variable.

Hypotheses:

1. The combination of onion, garlic, chili, and pulverized dry citronella grass will significantly
enhance mosquito repellency compared to the control group with no organic insecticides.
2. Organic insecticides will be found to be effective and safe for mosquito repellency,
contributing to environmentally friendly pest control methods.
