Arterial Anastomoses around the scapula

Anastomoses occurs in three fossae

• Subscapular, supraspinous & infraspinous

fossae

Anastomoses occurs between

Branches of 1st part of subclavian A &

branches of 3rd part of Axillary A

• Suprascapular A - br of thyrocervical trunk,

br of 1st part Subclavian A

• deep br of transverse cervical A - br of

thyrocervical trunk, br of 1st part Subclavian
A

• Circum ex scapular A - br of sub scapular A,

br of 3rd part of Axillary A
fl
Anastomosis over acromion
process

It is formed by

• acromial br of thoracoacromial A

( 2nd part of Axillary A)

• acromial br of supra scapular A

(1st part of subclavian A)

• acromial br of Posterior circum ex

humeral A (3rd part of axillary A)
