SUMMARY

During my internship at the Madhya Pradesh Arbitration Tribunal Bhopal, I gained valuable
insights and practical experience in various aspects of the legal and clerical work at the office.
Throughout the internship, I focused on learning about the Madhya Pradesh Madhyasthan
Adhikaran Adhiniyam 1983, which is the governing legislation of the
Honorable Tribunal. I delved into the intricacies of the Act, understanding its provisions, scope,
and the various legal matters it addresses. This comprehensive understanding of the Act provided
me with a solid foundation for comprehending the cases and issues that came before the tribunal.

One of the essential aspects of my internship was understanding the courtroom procedures and
the process of filing a petition. I learned how to draft and submit petitions, the required
documentation, and the procedures followed during hearings. I witnessed the dynamic
interactions between lawyers, clients, and Members during hearings. I learned about the
importance of legal arguments, the presentation of evidence, and the role of a member in
facilitating fair and just resolutions.

Moreover, I had the opportunity to observe judgment readings, where I witnessed the tribunal's
decisions being pronounced and understood the rationale behind the outcomes.
Apart from the legal proceedings, I also learned about the administrative side of the office. I
gained insights into how the copying of documents is done for case records and the importance
of maintaining accurate and organized records. This clerical work is vital in ensuring that the
office functions efficiently and that information is readily accessible when required.

Overall, my internship at Madhya Pradesh Arbitration Tribunal provided me with a

comprehensive understanding of the legal processes involved in arbitration and the essential
administrative tasks that support the tribunal's functioning. I could apply theoretical knowledge
gained through academic studies to real-life situations and develop practical skills necessary for
a successful career in the legal profession.
