(Last) (First)

My contact with this student:

I had the pleasure of working with the above student during the Fall semester of 2022 at The University of Arizona College of Nursing in
the course entitled “Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family: Nursing 368.” This course includes theoretical concepts, principles, and
techniques for providing care to the childbearing family. Clinical practice focuses on the application of theory and the provision of nursing
care to women (gynecological, antepartal, intrapartal, and postpartal), newborns, and their families.

In addition, I observed this student actively participating in clinical development sessions including simulation and lab
settings.

Additional Comments:
What are the applicant’s major strengths?

Joseph was one of my top students in the clinical setting. He was very strong in his communication skills with the staff and
the patients. He was always very eager to learn, and in the clinical setting, he would seek out new learning experiences.
He demonstrated maturity and a very positive attitude. Joseph was very prepared and organized during his assessments
of the mom and the baby. He was always very enthusiastic with learning and asked appropriate questions. Nurses at the
clinical site commented on what a great job Joseph did during his clinical day. He was able to give very thorough reports
to me on his patients.

What areas need further improvement? Joseph was always well prepared, on time and turned assignments in on time.

What is your overall evaluation of this student compared with others at the same level in your program? Joseph will be an
excellent nurse. He is very motivated and demonstrated critical thinking throughout the OB course.

If you have further questions concerning this applicant, please feel free to contact me at 520-490-6776 or by email.
