- Introducing “Rocket Clash” a brand new esports tournament where virtual and physical
worlds collide. This concept puts gamers into the most immersive gaming backgrounds

Creating an unforgettable synergy between the excitement of live sports and thrill of the
digital competition.

Game:
The game being used will be Rocket League which is made by Psynoix. It's a very
popular game between a sandbox racing car scoring game and makes for great entertainment.
The genre of this game would be sports as it involves scoring a ball into another net with your
car. It already has lots of popularity so meshing it into esports would be a great idea.

Name:
The name of the tournament would be called Turbo Thrust Rumble.

Tournament Format:
The Turbo Thrust Rumble is a dynamic Rocket League tournament that embraces a
hybrid format. combining both league play and knockout stages to maximize excitement. The
tournament requires a minimum of 16 teams, each composed of three players. The competition
spans several weeks, offering a league phase where teams face each other in a round-robin
format. Points accumulate based on match outcomes, with victories, draws, and losses
contributing to the standings.

Tournament Dates:
- The duration of the tournament will last for one day which mostly depends on how many
people attend and how many teams participate.
- The number of teams will be 16 and consists of 3v3 games.
- It will take place on one day of the month and finish.

Tournament Venue: Esports Stadium Arlington Texas USA

I selected this venue because it is one of the largest ones in the world. It is a good choice for a
game like rocket league due to its popularity. So a big stadium like this would make sense.
- Setting up this venue requires gaming equipment for gamers
- Stage and production for audience
- Spectator area
- amenities and security.

Are needs met for gamers?

- Yes they are, all amenities and equipment is provided which allows for the point of the
tournament to continue. It has security, stages for players and the audience and also all
broadcasting and streaming steps.
- There will need to be Playstation 5’s and PC’s all with windows and online activation to
connect into the game.

Platform of Choice: TWITCH

focus on gaming content and its expansive, engaged audience. With millions of active users
daily, Twitch provides a vibrant ecosystem for esports events, offering seamless integration with
gaming communities. Its interactive chat feature allows real-time engagement between viewers
and streamers, fostering a sense of community. Twitch's easy accessibility, user-friendly
interface, and comprehensive monetization options further solidify its status as the go-to
platform for tournament broadcasts, making it an unparalleled hub for competitive gaming
content with global reach and impact.

- Entry fee for spectators will be priced at $80

The pool will be for $50,000. Also the winners will all get codes to in-game currency that can be
given away to fans who have been supporting them and their team.

B. LIVE TOURNAMENT GOALS AND MONETIZATION

Live Tournament Goals

- Attract top talent and bring the best players in the game and showcase high-level
competition and skill while also creating memorable experiences.
- Engage the community and promote sponsors and partners. Foster a sense of community
and engagement among fans, players, and sponsors by creating an interactive and
enjoyable event experience and Maximize exposure and value for sponsors and partners
by integrating their brands effectively into the event and leveraging promotional
opportunities
- The last goal is to enhance production quality and elevate it and allow for high quality
games and content to be made on top of high level networking all to generate revenue and
bring value to everyone involved.

How will the Event Be Monetized

- Charge participation fees to teams or individual players entering the tournament. ($500)
These fees can contribute to the overall prize pool. Additionally, seek team sponsorships
where organizations pay to have their teams represented in the tournament. Team
sponsorships often involve branding opportunities and visibility during the event.

- Collaborate with game developers to integrate in-game content tied to the tournament.
This may include special skins, items, or other virtual goods that players and fans can
purchase, with a percentage of the proceeds going towards the tournament's revenue. This
not only monetizes the event but also enhances the gaming experience for the community.

- Secure sponsorships and brand partnerships with companies interested in reaching the
esports audience. Sponsors can contribute to the prize pool, provide equipment, or have
their branding featured prominently during the tournament. Negotiate sponsorship
packages that may include logo placements, product placements, and promotional
opportunities.
C. THE COMMUNITY OF SPECTATORS AND THEIR VIEWING EXPERIENCE
Competitor segmentation: Many games are super scoring based so most of the competitors will
be focused on making sure their techniques are good for scoring.

Attendee segmentation: after a survey on rocket league players age we can see what kind of
demographic will attend the event and watch in person.

Viewer Segmentation: We can see twitch is still the best platform for viewers to watch rocket
league.
D. CONTENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

chat-related functions:

join. Provide a brief introduction to the tournament, the teams, and any
noteworthy information. "Welcome, everyone! We've got an exciting Rocket

adds excitement and helps viewers follow the action. "That incredible goal

and visual way to engage with the audience and convey enthusiasm. "Drop

sharing predictions, or participating in polls. "Who do you think will win

interested during downtime, pose queries such as "Which team surprised you the most?"

are contributing to the conversation, use emotes, and actively participate in it.

competition.
