EVENT SYNOPSIS
“The love for all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man”
- Charles Darwin
On November 3rd, 2023, dedicated National Service Scheme (NSS) VIPS volunteers
organized a visit to Balaji Gaushala, in Sector 11, Rohini, at 2.00pm, where they
actively participated in feeding the cows. This initiative aimed to contribute to the
well-being of cows and foster a sense of responsibility among the youth towards
animal welfare.
We prepared food for the cows, which included a mixture of green fodder and grains
etc. and fed it to the cows, providing them with the necessary nutrition. We also
engaged in open discussion with the Gaushala Caretakers and gained practical
knowledge about the dietary needs and care requirements of cows, contributing to our
overall education.
This drive reinforced the significance of animal welfare among the volunteers,
instilling a sense of compassion and empathy towards animals. Inspired by our visit to
the Gaushala, we depart with a deeper understanding and commitment to prioritize the
welfare of our beloved four-legged companions.
