Company Profile – Brief History

• Joint stock shareholding company. 1,615 shareholders from the oil & gas
concession areas of Alshawamikh

• Established based on Royal Directives and the Government’s steer to

create investment opportunities for people living in the concession areas.
Part of enhancement of in-country-value (ICV) and expanding the base
of local communities benefiting from broader distribution of service
revenues in the oil & gas industry

• Incorporated in 2011 AOS progressed steadily over the years to build its
technical capabilities, portfolio of service and committed workforce, and
is now one of the most recognized and trusted super local community
companies within the Omani oil & gas market

• AOS offers a wide portfolio of integrated services to the local oil & gas
industry, which includes, but is not limited to subsurface, well services,
drilling services and surface facilities maintenance. We Deliver Safely &
Rapidly. No Compromise.

• AOS is undergoing agile transformation in its Journey of Excellence and

QHSE Culture Building programs that aim to empower and enable all
echelons within the organization to drive sustainable change and re-
think old ways of doing things

• At its inception, there were only 3 females in AOS. Today, there are 12
females empowered and contributing significantly, an increase in value
addition to the AOS workforce

• As part of our diversity and inclusion commitment, we will be acquiring

more female talent for work at the field, in significant HSE roles, and to
contribute as valuable members of our Senior Management Team

climates and uncertainties. Undoubtedly, we are ambitious and have a clear vision of the future, but we will continue to enhance and drive, with a laser focused
strategy, all our commitment towards Health, Safety & the Environment, while maintaining a clear control on our Statutory, Regulatory, and Contractual obligations
in order to meet and exceed our Clients’ and Shareholders expectations. We have significantly invested time and energy into our Journey of Excellence, which
consists of 11 Elements of internal change and improvements. The entire organization is involved and it provides a sense of belonging, pride and achievement.
We are slowly realizing the fruits of our labour. An integral element in our transformation journey is our renewed and sharp focus on QHSE, by building a strong

DR. AFLAH AL HADHRAMI
Dr. Aflah has been working in the Oil & Gas sector for over two decades. His professional career started
with Petroleum Development of Oman, and thereafter followed increasingly senior leadership roles at
various oil and gas organizations: Oman Refinery LLC, Schlumberger Overseas, and Occidental Oil and
Gas Corporation where he was VP of SCM. He holds a PhD from University of Liverpool (UK). He is also a
member of the Royal Chartered Institute (UK). Dr. Aflah is an active member of the SOLS Committee,
Oman Vision 2040 led by the Supreme Council of Planning. He is also the Vice Chairman of OPAL,
Chairman of OLA, Board Member at Transom and Board Member at MTC (Oman Aviation Group).

SOHAIL MANZOOR
VP, Finance & Business Ventures
Sohail is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) who
has a Bachelor of Commerce and is
instrumental as a business counsellor and
leader of Finance within AOS encompassing
strategy support, financing strategy, business
operations support, financial feasibilities and
analysis, budget grounding and monitoring,
financial reporting, treasury, audit and tax
matters. Sohail has a solid track record from
his previous exposures as Lead Auditor in Ernst
& Young and other renowned companies.
Sohail is instrumental as the founder of the
Renewables Energy Division in Alshawamikh.
SWAMI MADHUSUDAN
Senior Technical Advisor
With over 40 years of industry experience,
Swami is an expert in Upstream Oilfield
operations. Swami rose through the ranks to
the position of CEO at MB Petroleum Services
at Group Level and managed a turnover of
over USD 350M and over 3000 employees.
Swami’s business acumen is derived from his
BA in Business Administration. He is a master
at integration and has successfully devised and
executed strategy plans to reduce overinflated
support cost and increase profitability of
companies. Swami’s involvement in
compliance and standards review is extensive.
NASREEN KHALID
VP, Risk Mitigation & Compliance
An engineer and graduate of the Ivy League
Cornell University, USA, Nasreen has worked in
the USA, UK, Germany, Malaysia, Dubai and
Oman, amongst others. She has extensive
experience in production operations from her
stint at ExxonMobil, where she was the Lead
Engineer of the largest gas producing platform in
Malaysia. A qualified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001
and experienced practitioner in ISO 14001, ISO
45001 and ISO 17020, she is also a Certified
Auditor for Green House Gases (GHG) under the
UNFCCC convention. Nasreen is an advocate of
female participation in STEM.
