PERSONAL STATEMENT

According to a quote from Uncle Ho Chi Minh, "Learning is a lifetime mission" Bui
Vu Tuan Anh shares that idea as well. I had the good fortune to find out about the Tay
Nguyen Commodity Trading Joint Stock Company-sponsored Sponsorship Program for
Talented Students via the Student Affairs Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of
Technology. I was instantly drawn to this scholarship as soon as I received information
about it. I consider this as a fantastic chance to fulfill my lifetime learning goal, and this
essay serves as a letter requesting this grant.

I am a final-year mechatronics engineering major, Mechanical Faculty at Ho Chi

Minh City University of Technology. My student code is 1952170, and I currently have a
3.7/4.0 GPA. Fortunately, my parents are highly committed educators who work as
teachers. They started teaching me the fundamentals at an early age and laid a strong
foundation for me. However, they also provided me with a lot of inspiration for my
educational path. I excelled academically throughout high school, winning prizes like being
the first-ranked student in grade twelfth, third prize in the provincial physics competition
in the 2018–2019 school year, first prize in the district physics competition, second prize
in the provincial physics competition, and the first-ranked student in grades in two
continuous years up to the 2015–2016 school year. These accomplishments have gradually
assisted me in making greater sense of the university major and school that I ultimately
decided on. In addition, I have a strong interest in technology and want to study and create
smart technologies that assist in freeing up human work. This is the rationale behind my
current major choice.

I have always been an excellent student at Ho Chi Minh City University of

Technology. To be more specific, I have been awarded university scholarships five times
to encourage my studies in five different semesters and I was honored as a comprehensively
excellent student for two consecutive years from the 2020-2021 school year. During the
2021–2022 academic year, I was also given honors and titles such as "Outstanding Union
Member" from the Standing Committee of the Union of Ho Chi Minh City University of
Technology, "Student of 5 Merits" from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and
"Talented students at OISP GALA” – a program to honor students of international study
programs. "Advanced youth of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - National
University - Ho Chi Minh City follow Uncle Ho's words in 2023". Furthermore, I achieved
a 6.0 IELTS certificate in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic and won the BACH KHOA
CHALLENGE CONTEST, a Tiktok-based content production competition organized by
the Office for International Study Programs at Ho Chi Minh City University of
Technology. At the same time, I frequently take part in the university's science and
technology exhibits. The accomplishments listed above attest to my continuous efforts at
university.

For my part, the Sponsorship Program for Talented Students really impresses me,
not only because of the scholarship's worth but also because of the spirit it embodies, which
is apparently captured in the program's title. "Never give up". This spirit and my own,
which is one of never ceasing to learn throughout life, are extremely similar. My studies
will not stop at my current bachelor's degree, I will continue to conquer higher knowledge.
Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, Miss Grand International, once stated in the podcast "Have A
Sip" that her biggest fear was waking up every day and being unproductive. These remarks,
along with Ms. Tien's personal struggle From a nameless figure to a significant figure
influencing today's youth, have greatly motivated me to keep trying and never give up. In
addition, I consider Professor Ngo Bao Chau to be one of my greatest heroes because of
his never-ending pursuit of excellence.

After finishing my current major, I plan to further advance to the Master's level in
the field within the next three years. In the meantime, I will keep studying to raise my
English proficiency in order to get a 7.5 on the IELTS exam. Because I am looking for
opportunities to study abroad at a higher level after completing the Master's program in
Vietnam. In the meantime, I also treasure the dream of writing a book about the technical
issues I have studied. I think that stumbling and running into problems are inevitable in life
but what matters is how we deal with them head-on and don't give up. Therefore, even
though I am aware that my learning path ahead will be lengthy and full of challenges, I
have made the decision to solve and overcome them, advance to new heights, and become
the best version of myself. Over the next ten years, I hope to use my voice as a spokesperson
to inspire other young people to pursue lifelong learning and self-improvement.

In order to spread learning opportunities and the spirit of lifelong learning to

challenging situations, I would like to deduct a small portion of my earnings from the
Sponsorship Program for Talented Students, if granted. This contribution would go toward
supporting social organizations like the " Tiếp sức đến trường" program and the " Cặp lá
yêu thương " fund - VTV Television Station.

Given my efforts and accomplishments, I am confident that I meet all the

requirements for the scholarship. From the bottom of my heart, I am very excited to be
awarded this scholarship. It will be a great source of encouragement and acknowledgment
for my years of hard work as I embark on my future learning path.

Best regards.
