• Understand the main points.

PART 2 – Cloze Text (Passage with blanks)

• To test vocabulary by guessing the meaning of unfamiliar words and
choosing the best words.

PART 3 – Longer Text/Passage

• To test reading comprehension (Understand the specific details).
• 5 Questions – Q10-14 [3-option MCQs – A B C]

PART 4 – Matching (with 3 Different Texts)

• To test both reading comprehension & vocabulary
by matching the text with the correct statements.
• Pupils must understand the main points & specific details, as well as
guess the meaning of unfamiliar words.

PART 5 – Vocabulary & Spelling

• Guess the word based on the definition/clue and spell it out.
• The first letter of each word is given.

PART 6 – A Communicative Message (Short Writing)

• Write a short message/email.
• Write about 30-50 words.

PART 7 – An Essay (Longer Writing)

• Write an essay (email or story) based on the information given.
• Write about 60-80 words.
