PURPOSE:
This method statement describe the procedure and inspection activities to be followed during
the application of Anti-termite treatment.
Method statement will ensure that all the activities are in fully compliance with specification
and as per manufactures standard.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The scope of the work is a proper way of Anti-termite Treatment vertically and horizontally with
the use of approved Anti-termite Material on all concrete in contact with the soil.

EQUIPMENT:
Power Sprayer (diesel-driven) fixed at the carriage of the service car.
Spray Nozzle (used to facilitate the formations of spray in the targeted area).
PLANS, PERMIT & PRE-MOBILIZATION ACTIVITIES
The Contractor will obtain any and all necessary certificates, permits or other
documentation from the appropriate government agencies, and use such certificates
or other documentation as required by law, rule or regulation.
Permit required to start works will be obtained prior to the start of any works.
All the work will be carried out during the daytime.
All required inspection certificates will be obtained, paid for, and made available at
the completion of the Work.
Prior to initiating the activity, Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and Inspection Checklist will
be required.

Contractor will coordinate with all stakeholders, interfacing, and meeting with local
authorities as necessary and will acquire all required permits for the execution of Anti
termite spray work defined in the scope of works.

Emergency Procedure
Emergency procedure will be adopted according to approved Health & Safety Plan.
First aid kits will be provided on site for light injuries as well as First Aid Station.
In the event of an emergency all workers will be asked to evacuate and assemble at
the designated assembly area and wait for further instruction from supervisors.

Environmental Issues
Contractor does not envisage any major environmental impact as a result of excavation
activities. No perilous material or the like will be used in the construction and
consequently no perilous chemicals will be stored or used on site.
Assessment of the risk to the environment that may be caused by the works, such as oil
spillage, soil contamination or any other events that may have an adverse effect on the
environment has been made.
The Job Hazard Analysis provides the action and/or procedure taken to minimize the
identified risks.
Dust control by watering will be performed to minimize dust generation from earthwork
operations.

QC Engineer
Supervises the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including
Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records.
Supports the Project Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters.
Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site.
Allocates Quality Control personnel to the various areas of site activity.
Supervises inspections, reports, and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect
and file the required Quality Records.
Report directly to Project Manager for site instructions. Direct and continuous
supervision, he has the authority to give instruction to workers under his responsibility
and to ensure the safety of his people and equipment.
Reporting to Project Manager and will be responsible for continuously monitoring the
works to ensure implementation and compliance in accordance with this method
statement and compliance with its relevant specifications.
He is responsible for assuring the use of acceptable quality materials, processes, and
workmanship in the Project work and is responsible for conducting inspections with the
consultant.
He is also responsible for conducting the test at the site with an approved third-party
laboratory and consultant.

Ensuring the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation
Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor, and improve the health
and safety standards in the workplace
Being responsible for all safety inspections in the workplace (for example, monitoring
noise levels in a warehouse)
Assisting with the creation and management of health and safety monitoring systems
and policies in the workplace
Managing emergency procedures (such as fire alarm drills) and organizing emergency
teams such as fire marshals and first aiders.
Preparing and implementation of site application safety plan.
Ensuring all-time safety at the site.
Organize the safety system at site.
Safety record, sign board, training will be performed regularly at site.
Safety checks and monitoring to ensure safety at all the times.
Surveyor
The Surveyor is fully responsible for all survey works which will be required.
Foreman
Report directly to the Site engineer for site instructions. With direct and continuous
supervision, he has the authority to give instruction to workers under his responsibility
and look for the safety of his people and equipment.

METHODOLOGY
Preliminary Activities
Properly coordinate with the concerned party or main contractor on how the process
will be done with regards to application scheduling and area preparation.
Coordinate and confirmation of people’s site access. And the water source accessibility
on site.
The Method Statement (MS), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and Material Approval
Request (MAR) must be on hand with the QA/QC Engineer before the commencement
of the work.
Preconstruction Activities
Remove all wooden pieces, concrete debris, plastic strips, tree stump roots, deleterious
materials, etc.
The soil shall be leveled and compacted if in case the bottom of the blinding before
treatment starts.
All construction-related tests shall be approved by the Engineer prior to treatment.
Construction Activities
After the advice of the Engineer to proceed, the application shall immediately begin by
first preparing and mixing the solutions of Approved Anti-termite material diluted with
water as per manufacturer’s recommendation.
A solution of approved Anti-termite material diluted with water shall be sprayed prior to
casting of blinding of footing or any foundation type.
A solution of Approved Anti-termite material diluted with water shall be sprayed along
the perimeter of the foundation.

The treated area must be immediately covered by polythene sheet, it can be uncovered
for 2 hours before casting. And casting must be completed by 2 to 24 hours after the
Anti-termite treatment or application.
