Mr.Christian T. Bulanadi Sunday Gospel reflection

(Luke 20:27-38)

“Reality of Life and death”

Jesus said, “Those who belong to this age marry; but those considered worthy of a place in that age and
in the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. They cannot die anymore,
because they are like angels and are children of God, children of the resurrection. Moses speaks of the
Lord as the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Now he is God not of the dead, but
of the living; for to him all of them are alive.”

The Gospel today present the reality of Life after death and of the relationship between our lives
on earth and the life of glory or punishment that will follow. We are invited to consider the True
meaning of the RESURRECTION in our lives. Our AWARENESS of the PRESENCE of the SPIRIT of the Living
GOD will help us to control our thoughts, desires, words and actions. The life we live today must be seen
towards what God has prepared for us. Thus it should inspire us to honor our bodies by avoiding evil
habits. Make PRAYER part of our life and the EUCHARIST as the food for our Spiritual Journey and
strength to face trials. God who wants to speak with us always about the things of heaven! A reality and
a gift that we should be THANKFUL.
