BEING FAT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM.

Do you know if you are too fat ? You may have serious problems with your health.

A group of doctors wrote a report a report about some of the effect of too much fat.

One important effect is on the heart. If you’re fat, your heart has to work harder. This may lead
to heart attack : or it may lead to other heart problem. In addition, extra fat also change the amount of
sugar in your blood. This can cause serious disease such as diabetes.

Furthermore high blood pressure is another possible result of being fat. More studies are
needed about all these problems but one thing is clear, extra fat may make your life shorter.

Text 2 : Read this text to answer question 7-12

The use of formalin and other dangerous preservatives in food has been serious problem for
three reasons. Firstly, formalin isn’t used human beings, but it’s for biological specimens and
experiments. Formalin in biology is a 10% solution of formaldehyde in water in which is usually used as a
disinfectant or to preserve biological specimens. Thus, it is not for food preservatives. Of course, when
it’s used for food preservatives, it will be very dangerous to human’s body.

The second reason is that there is no tight control from the Government. This condition makes
the people’s health is really in a threat. When the control is weak and the use of formalin is spreaded
wide all over the Indonesian regions, and these days it has really happened, the citizen’s bodies will be
badly contaminated with the poisons. Fish or food traders still sell their products which containing
formalin and dangerous preservatives. Can you imagine that our digestive system absorbs the substance
that is supposed to be used for the human and animal’s corpses?

Considering the reasons, we can make a conclusion that the use of formalin and other
preservatives is really a serious problem if it is not resolved immedietly.

The government should provide

Rehabilititation program for DRUG USERS.


Drug users actually sick people who need help. Rehabilitation is one of the main things they should get.
Instead of punishing drug users in prisons, the government should provide rehabilitation for them.

Most users actually victims of persuasive peddlers and they suffer from consuming the drugs.
Therefore, by rehabilitating them, we are actually helping them out from traps, which they might
accidentally step on.

If we only arrest the drug users and send them to jail, this doesn’t solve the problem as drug
users will still be addicted unless proper rehabilitation is imposed to them. Providing rehabilitation
program for drug users and forcing them to participate in the program is better than only arresting them
and without helping their sickness. Only drug dealers, traffickers and wholesalers should be imprisoned.

First, the federal government is necessary for the big things. They keep the economy in order and look
after like defense. Similarly, the state governments look after the middle side things. For example they
look after law and order, preventing things like vandalism and schools. Finally,local government look
after the small things like collecting rubbish otherwise everyone would have desease. Thus for the
reasons,we can conclude that the three levels of the government are necessary.
