Selection Criteria for Nominees for Training of Trainers (ToT) on SIYB

Interested and nominated individuals need to qualify the following criteria to
participate in the ILO certified SIYB Training Course:

1. Commitment: Interested individuals/trainers should have commitment


to deliver the training knowledge and skills at ToE level after the ToT.

2. Expertise and Knowledge: Potential Trainers should have a deep


understanding of the subject matter they will be teaching. They should
robust and strong rootedness to and be able to demonstrate certain level
of expertise in the field of entrepreneurship and business, with a strong
knowledge of the concepts, strategies, and best practices involved. This
includes among others completion of bachelor’s degree with significant
elements of financial management and business development.

3. Experience: Practical experience in starting and running businesses is


essential. Potential candidates should have hands-on experience in
entrepreneurship, which can provide valuable insights and credibility
when working with aspiring entrepreneurs.

4. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are crucial for


trainers. Interested candidates should be able to convey information
clearly, engage their audience, and facilitate discussions and learning
activities.

5. Teaching and Training Experience: Prior experience in teaching or


training is often a prerequisite. Potential Trainers should be able to
demonstrate ability to deliver effective training sessions, create learning
materials, and adapt their teaching style to the needs of their audience.

6. Adaptability: Entrepreneurs come from diverse backgrounds and


industries. Potential Trainers should be adaptable and able to tailor their
training to the specific needs and levels of their trainees.
7. Passion and Enthusiasm: Potential Trainers must demonstrate
evidence of enthusiasm on positively impacting on women and should be
motivated to inspire and motivate their trainees.

8. Mentoring and Coaching Skills: Potential Trainers are often expected to


provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship. The ability to guide and
support individuals in their business journey is essential.

9. Ethical Considerations: Interested Trainers should understand and


adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality when working with
entrepreneurs. This is particularly important when dealing with sensitive
business information. They should be knowledgeable about or are
committed to undergo training on the prevention of sexual exploitation
and abuse.

10.Commitment to Continuous Learning: The business landscape is


constantly evolving. Trainers should demonstrate a commitment to
staying updated on the latest trends, tools, and resources in
entrepreneurship.

11.Feedback and Evaluation: Interested Trainers should be open to


receiving feedback and continuously improving their training methods.
The ability to assess the effectiveness of their training and make
necessary adjustments is important.

12.Community Engagement: Interested trainers should have engagement


with the local business community, establish connections with support
organizations, and help build a network for entrepreneurs.

13.References and Recommendations: Past performance and


recommendations from colleagues, employers, or mentors can be
important in the selection process. Nomination should indicate the
details of the evidences.

Note: Interested individuals/trainers should be between 30-45 years!!! Female


individuals are highly encouraged.
