Adverbs

What are they?


An adverb is a word that describes an action word, a descriptive word or another
adverb.
There are five kinds of adverbs:
1. Adverb of manner
2. Adverb of Time
3. Adverb of Place
4. Adverb of Frequency
5. Adverb of Degree
Rules
Rule 1: Adverbs of manner tell us how something happens.

● Rule 2: Adverb of Time. Adverbs of time tell us when an action happened

● Rule 3: Adverbs of place. Adverbs of place tell us where something happens.


● Rule 4: Adverb of frequency. Adverbs of frequency tell us how often something happens.

● Rule 5: Adverb of Degree. Adverbs of degree tell us about the intensity or degree of an action.
