The Spirit
of Giving
Please note that our Christmas Holiday break
will run from December 25th to January 8th,
2024. Classes will resume on Monday, January
8th, 2024. As you enjoy what this Season
brings, let us remember the true meaning of
Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ. May the
holiday season bring only happiness and joy to
you and your loved ones. Please continue to stay
safe and I truly wish you and your loved ones a
blessed Christmas.

Thank you to all families who have generously
supported our Angel Tree or have sent in non-
perishable food items to support the Osgoode Food
Cupboard.Both Advent fundraisers will run
until Friday December 15. I know how difficult
life is so for many but any kind act is truly
appreciated.

Blended Students Am
Social Studies:
Assess aspects of the environmental impact of different industries in two or more
physical and/or political regions of Canada (e.g., hydroelectric development in
Quebec, the development of the oil sands in northern Alberta, fishing in Atlantic
Canada, steel production in Nova Scotia, forestry and fishing in British Columbia,
coal-powered electrical plants in Ontario, smelting in northern Ontario, shipping in
the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence region)
Physical Education:
Participate in moderate to vigorous physical activity, with appropriate
warm-up and cool-down activities, to the best of their ability for a
minimum of twenty minutes each day;
Identify how different physical activities affect the body and contribute to
physical fitness and good physical and mental health.
Dance:
Translate into dance a variety of movement sequences observed in nature
Use dance as a language to explore and communicate ideas derived from a variety
of literature sources
Use the elements of energy (e.g., collapse, explode, float) and time (e.g., duration,
suddenness) in a dance piece to communicate an idea

Term 1 - Overview
In term one, students will explore the impacts of humans on
habitats and their communities and how to minimize these
impacts. They will also explore lights
and sounds in relation to innovations in our changing
world and their properties and characteristics.

Kindness Ninjas
The Gr. 4 students have been taking on the role of being
Kindness Ninjas. They have made morning announcements
to thank teachers, and made special ninjas and thank you
messages for staff. In addition, they are leading the school
in putting together our Blessing Bags for the Ottawa
Mission. I am truly grateful and blessed for each of my
amazing students.
