- The student workbooks include a summary of the lesson on top of each page prior to the
independent work and clear directions for the task.
- This book is not interdisciplinary, it only makes connections to writing.
- The activities do not apply to a diversity of student abilities, interest or learning styles because
most activities consist of the student making corrections to sentences, changing sentences using the
new skill taught or filling in blanks.
- At the end of each lesson/practice, students are pushed to apply what they have learned by
revisiting a piece of writing to make corrections or create new writing using the skill taught.
