TRAINING-WORKSHOP ON THE FUNDAMENTAL

ELEMENTS OF MUSIC
NARRATIVE REPORT

I. Introduction

The Department of Education aims to develop the whole well-being of

every learner. Many elementary teachers have a broad range of responsibilities
and may not have specialized training in music education.

The Training-Workshop on the Fundamental Elements of Music was

proposed to give teachers a chance to enhance their knowledge and skills in
teaching the said subject area.

This, in turn, enables them to deliver more effective music lessons to

their students.

II. Activities

The Training-Workshop on the Fundamental Elements of Music was

proposed last August 4, 2023, a week after the Division Training-Workshop
held at Bacsay, Luna, Apayao. A consultative meeting of the proponents
together with the PSDS was done to plan the said training-workshop.

The training-workshop was held at Pudtol Central School last August 9-

11, 2023.

The training started with an opening program lead by Mr. Michael Narag,
T-III, one of the proponents of the said training workshop. After the opening
program was the vocalization of the participants by Mr. Genaro Domingo,
AO II and Mrs. Precy Rumbaoa, Teacher III, the resource speakers.
Afterwhich, a 10-minute break was given to the participants.

Mrs. Delainne Rose G. Anteola, Teacher III of Pudtol Central School was
the lecturer of the first topic, Rhythm. Melody was discussed right after by
Mrs. Precy Rumbaoa.
