GOVERNMENT GEOTHERMAL EXPLORATION PROGRAM 2020-2024
BACKGROUND
✓ Indonesia has enormous geothermal resources
(23,9 GW). However, the utilization ration is still about
8,9% (2.130,7 MW). Hence, Government needs to put
some efforts to accelerate geothermal development:
▪ Efforts on improving the quality of geoscience data
to reducing the development risk prior to the tender
process of geothermal working areas.
▪ Efforts on improving the economic feasibility of
geothermal projects.
✓ Minister of EMR instruction for improving all the
geoscience data and conducting geothermal
exploration activities.

SCOPE OF WORKS
✓ GEOSCIENCE SURVEYS: 3G surveys, thermal
gradient hole, LIDAR survey, integration of survey
results, establishment of conceptual model, numerical
simulation, well-targeting and peer-review.
✓ INFRASTRUCTURES ESTABLIHMENT: Land
acquisition, establishing access road, well pad, and
other supporting facilities.
✓ EXPLORATION DRILLING: 2 slim hole,1 standard
hole, completion, and well-testing.
