Weighting & Task Writing a paragraph: 20%
Types Listening Skills: ~20% (Multiple choice questions, 3 options; T/F questions; Gap-fill
questions)
Language Skills: ~20% (Gap-fill questions; ONE-word questions; rewrite questions)
Vocabulary Knowledge: ~ 10% (Gap-fill in short texts)
Reading Skills: ~30% (2 texts) (Multiple-choice questions, 3 options; open-ended
questions; T/F questions; referencing questions)
Task Expectations & Writing Section (20 pts.)
Points Allocation The students are expected to write a text using the given information (about 100
words).
Listening Section (~20 pts.)
Students are expected to fill in gaps (2 pts. each), answer multiple-choice questions
(2 pts. each) and T/F questions (1 pt. each) while listening to texts.
Language Section (~20 pts.)
Students are expected to fill in gaps in texts with correct grammar (1 pt. each),
rewrite statements using given grammar structures (2 pts. each) and fill in gaps with
ONE word (1 pt. each).
Vocabulary Section (~10 pts.)
They are also expected to fill in gaps with the correct form of the words in brackets
to fill in gaps in short texts (1 pt. each). The box will include about two extra items
as well as the expected ones.
Reading Section (~30 pts.)
Students are expected to answer comprehension questions (2 pts. each), T/F
questions (1 pt. each) and referencing questions (1 pt. each).
