But first, what do you understand about regrouping?

Regrouping is the process of carrying over values from one


place value to another.

It is done anytime there is a group of ten.

There are different strategies for adding numbers with regrouping.

When tens become 10 tens, they are regrouped as 1 hundred or 100.
What happens when hundreds become 10 hundreds?
