Poverty in the Philippines remains a
challenge. It losses people's hope to
live as they continously struggle
earning money day after day for their
needs just to survive.

The High Inflation during crisis periods is also the reasons


that poverty occurs in the Philippines. Because of lack of
agriculture needs, farmers rarely harvest foods and make
the foods prices increase even more and that would be
more considerable reason so that they can earn agricultural
funds. Corruption are also part of inflation and some of its
proofs are that some of the business tycoons takes
advantage of the agricultural foods, they take it, and sell it
to public with higher price. This leads Filipinos to buy less
amount of foods because of the increase of its price.

Poverty is a social issue that affects many Filipinos. It is a major cause of lack of development
and a challenge for the sustainable and exclusive growth for every country. Poverty can be
reduced by the implementation of effective measures by the government and the
community awareness and participation in addressing its root causes and consequences.
