Introduction:

Mobile gaming today is one of the best entertainments especially to the young age, where

playing it can also benefit the player. One of the famous mobile games in the Philippines is

Mobile Legends. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as the platform of the MOBA’s genre online

games has a system in the form of "rank mode" that can distinguish status and class on each

player who uses it. "Rank mode" is intended as one way to show the ability of each player.

Players of Mobile Legends Indonesia was a largest number of users, this is evidenced from the

user datas of Mobile Legends in Indonesia on September of 2018 which has reached

approximately 50 million users out of 170 million active users per month in a worldwide,

according to Dimaz Wiratama as the Operational Manager of Montoon Indonesia (Librianty,

2018).

This study focuses on the advantages of Mobile Legends to other mobile games. Mobile

Legends used by About 16 percent of the gamers between the age of 36 and 50 years in the

Philippines were female. An impressive rate considering the worldwide gaming proportion of

women reaching only around 37 percent. (Sanchez Martha Jean,2018). One aspect that makes a

Mobile Legends increasingly widespread is since within the game each player competes to be

way better, which can be checked by the score or level they get after finishing play the game.

Usually of course can lead to an isolation between players within the online game, with a certain

level of capital, a person will be able to occupy the top position in the event that he has sufficient

ability, usually around stratification on the game. Hence online games are in incredible demand
 by numerous people as a venue for competing abilities had by an individual to put a position they

set through a score or level.

The researchers choose this study specifically to give information to the students,parents

and teachers about the advantage of Mobile Legends to other mobile games. Not only giving

them information,but also giving them a guide about the game.

Research Problem

The research problems in this research are articulated as follows:

1. How does Mobile Legends differ from other Mobile Games?

2. The Advantages of playing Mobile Legends than playing other online games

 The figure 1 presents the advantages of the game Mobile Legends compared to other

mobile games according to the article found on steemit written by mulkan year 2017, it involves

the Grade 12 students as the participants of this study.

According to Mulkan (2017); steemit.com, over 50+ million people play this game around

the world for a reason that this game is quite interesting. Gamers chose this online gaming

platform rather than any games that can be found on google playstore because of its advantages

and it improves as every season ends.

The paradigm below shows the variables and processes used to conduct the study. It

Statement of The Problem:

Most students of Notre Dame of Trece Martirez Inc... are playing mobile legends which

they think it gives them benefit. Therefore, this research study aims to determine the advantages

of Mobile Legends compared to other Mobile Games.

This research aims to identify on:

*Why the students choose to play mobile legends?

*What are the posible advantages of mobile legends compared to other mobile games?

Objective of the Sudy

This study aims to:

1. Give emphasis to the advantages of playing Mobile Legends rather than other online

games.

2. Determine the features of Mobile Legends that makes it a better application to other

mobile gaming platforms.

3. Distuingish the good effects of playing Mobile Legends.

Significance of The Study:

The study about the advantage of Mobile Legends to other mobile games to students of

Notre Dame of Trece Martires Incorporated would be a great contribution to the knowledge of

students, teachers, community and future researchers. The results of the study would be highly

beneficial to the following:

 Students. Students can get ideas on how this mobile game works and what benefits it can

give to a stressful student life. The students will be encouraged by this study to play
 Mobile Legends as it proves that there are advantages of Mobile Legends to other mobile

games.

 Teachers. Teachers will benefit from this study by knowing the advantage of Mobile

Legends to other mobile games to students. There will be a possibility that the teachers

would understand students’ perceptions which keep them interested while playing Mobile

Legends.

 School Administrators. The result of this study will be a big help for the school

administrators to determine the advantages of Mobile Legends to other mobile games. In

this way, the administrators will have an idea on what features of this game that other

mobile games don’t have that keep the students on playing it.

 Community. People who don't know much about Mobile Legends will have a background

in mobile games. This study can be beneficial to the community because it can give

knowledge to people who do not know the advantage of Mobile Legends to other mobile

games. This study can serve as a tool to prove that there are advantages of Mobile

Legends.

 Future Researchers. The result of this study will serve as a guide to future researchers

who want to conduct a study of similar topic.

Scope and delimitation:

The scope of our study is to focus on finding the Advantage of Mobile legends

compared to other Mobile Games of Notre Dame of Trece Martirez, Inc., SY. 2020-2021.

The study is delimited only for a total number of 70 senior high school student of Notre

Dame of Trece Martirez for the reason that the names of students were confidential and we

only access the number of online and modular students. This study will be conducted at Don
 Bosco Executive Village, Brgy. Cabuco, Governor's Dr, Trece Martires, 4109 Cavite. The

study consists of pointing the Advantages of Mobile Legends compared to other mobile

games to determine the reason why such gamers use this platform rather than the other

softwares.

Review of Related Literature

Accoring to MMO.s (2019), Mobile Legends is a multi-player online game. It features

varied cast of heroes, quick match-making and fast-paced battles. This game sports community

features like built-in streaming where gamers can share their live gaming to other viewers.

Mobile Legends is easy to play, you can join in a game for about ten seconds and finish it for

about 10 minutes. This also includes broad selection of characters or heroes that you can use to

your specialized skills.

According to Funk (2013) Mobile Legends Game is made by China Bamboo Curtain aka

China or China. Mobile Legends game created by Chinese developer Moonton or Shanghai

Moonton Technology Co., Ltd. Moonton is headquartered in Shanghai, China. (Moonton,

Mobile Legend, 2016). Mobile Legend one type of MOBA (Massive Online Battle Arena) is a

type of online game that combines two types of games namely RTS (Real Time Strategy) and

RPG (Role Playing Game) where players run one character from two teams opposite to the goal

to destroy the opponent's headquarters. Each character which is played has a role with strength

and weakness each other so prosecuted for cooperate with team to win the game.

According to Mulkan (2018) by steemit.com, every game has its advantage and

disadvantage. It stated that this game builds cooperation among teams to succeed in the
battlefield. Players should be smart enough to come up a strategy to protect their headquarters

and destroy their enemies. It was mentioned that this game has many events and rewards that

makes it more interesting. We are motivated to win a game if there is a prize. Also, it is a fair

type of game. All members should make a move. It does not focus only on one good player but it

gives chances to other players to score or to make points. This game is already a masterpiece, an

update for the betterment of the game makes a good gaming experience.

Definition of Terms

Mobile Game (n.) - a video game played on a feature phone, smartphone, PDA, tablet computer,

portable media player or calculator.

Rank Mode - is a competitive mode that lets you play with other players at a similar skill level.

Features (n.) - a distinctive attribute or aspect of something.

Multiplayer (adj.) - denoting or relating to a video game designed for or involving several

players.

Matchmaking (n.) - denoting or relating to a video game designed for or involving several

players.

Fast-paced - Happening or done quickly, suddenly or immediately.

Built-in (adj.) - forming an integral part of a structure or device.

Streaming - refers to any media content – live or recorded – delivered to computers and mobile

devices via the internet and played back in real time.

Battlefield - a place or situation of strife or conflict.
