DAILY DIARY:
As the day started, we arrived at exactly 7:00 am in the morning in the hospital. Then we settled in
an area for us to conduct our lessons and also keep our valuable things. Ma’am Fely start to assigned
patient to us for our actual care of elderly then we proceed to admission area in which we are tasked to
listen the endorsement for the morning shift. I was assigned first with Patient Morandante which have a
chills and high blood pressure during my v/s monitoring and due to that situation, I was transferred to
Mrs. Yuta with a wound noted at left leg then have a 1100 cc of fluid located at left lobe. We take the V/S
then also interview the caregiver and the patient for the data needed in our CGA report. CBG taking was oriented
and teach to me and Mr. Catimbang by our CI and nurse Sharmaine at 9 am for us to practiced. After the
successful demo we actually do CBG to the patients who is needed for CBG testing in which we done it
successfully. Taking lunch at exactly 12 noon then a 1 pm we proceed to our designated patients to comply
with the FDAR Charting. We submit our charting to our CI for revision and evaluation before we write it
in the patient chart in which successfully done. At 3:00 in the afternoon we gather again for us to have
demonstration with CBG Testing in which Mr. Catimbang and yours truly have the demonstration for our
groupmates since we are oriented with it first. Then at 4 pm we guide our respective groupmate in each
patient needed for CBG Testing for their actual experience. After the CBG Testing we conduct an open
forum to share our ideas and our learnings during our duty and also the final instruction coming from our
CI. Then we prepare ourselves for the dismissal and at exactly 6 pm we leave the area and call it a
productive for us.
