A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN

CHAIRPERRSON HON. TONGIERLYN D. CORDA AND SANGGUNIANG
KABATAAN TREASURER JELYN CABARDO OF BARANGAY BUSAY TO
TRANSACT, DEPOSIT, WITHDRAW, ENDORSE OR NEGOTIATE CHECK AT
DEVELOPMENT BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES, TOLEDO CITY OF CEBU

WHEREAS, the passage of Republic Act 10742 also known as “SK Reform Act of
2015” provides for the establishment of Sangguniang Kabataan. Its main purpose is to afford the
youth a medium to effectively express their perspectives, views, preferences and opinions in
participating to barangay governance. In order to fulfill its mandate to uplift the general welfare
of youth, it should assume the role as active, supportive and participating partner of the
government in formulating programs, projects, strategies and other initiatives. It is provided with
powers and resources to become partners in nation-building.

WHEREAS, in accordance to above provision of the law, Sangguniang Kabataan

Council are obliged to open an account pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2023-171
in accord to Section 20 of Republic Act No. 10742 as amended by RA No. 11768 which states
that SK should have financial independence.

WHEREAS, Development Bank of the Philippines – Toledo City of Cebu shall be the
official depository bank of “Barangay Busay Sangguniang Kabataan” since it is situated
nearly to Pinamungajan.

WHEREAS, Chairperson HON. TONGIERLYN D. CORDA and SK Treasurer

JELYN CABARDO are hereby authorize to OPEN , TRANSACT, DEPOSIT, WITHDRAW,
ENDORSE OR NEGOTIATE CHECK AT DEVELOPMENT BANK OF THE
PHILIPPINES, TOLEDO CITY OF CEBU and shall be the official signatories of all the
transactions to be made under the account of “Barangay Busay Sangguniang Kabataan”.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of JACINTA D. DEJITO duly seconded by all

members of the present it was;

RESOLVED AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, Resolution Authorizing the Sangguniang

Kabataan Chairperson HON. TONGIERLYN D. CORDA and Sangguniang Kabataan
Treasurer JELYN CABARDO of BARANGAY BUSAY To Transact, Deposit, Withdraw,
Endorse Or Negotiate Check At Development Bank Of The Philippines, Toledo City Of Cebu.
