Early Childhood Education

Program (number of children): 13 Full-time, 3 Part-time

Time of Day For each part of the daily routine, describe the responsibilities of the
ECEs in the classroom.
● Arrival

● Check-in with the ECEs in the classroom for any updates, goals, or responsibilities for the
7:45am-8:00am
day.

● Prepare my needed materials for the day

Arrival and Free Play

● Welcome children and parents as they come in at drop-off.


8:00am-8:30am
● Engage in play with the children

● Guide material cleanup

Morning Snack

● Count Children

● Help children washup for morning snack


8:30am-9:00am
● Ensure everyone is seated and has what they need

● Assist where needed (refills, more food, cleaning)

● Ensure dietary needs are being met

Washup and Toileting Routines

● Clean the eating area

9:00 am-9:15am ● Making sure children are lined up for washup and toileting routines

● Ensure proper hand washing

● Engage in play with children that have finished with routine

Organized Activity And Large Group Play


9:15am-10:00am ● Prepare Organized Activity materials

● Assist RECE in groups of 6 in a craft

● Engage in play with the children

● Clean the area/materials used for the activity

Outdoor Time

● Count children as prior to leaving the classroom and as they enter the playground.

● Checking the playground for a latching gate, glass-free and safe to use materials
10:00am-11:00am
● Get out any bikes or materials being used

● Ensuring children are engaging in safe play

● Engage in play with the children

Toileting Routine and Circle/Story Time

● Making sure children are lined up for washup and toileting routines

11:00am-11:30am ● Ensure proper hand washing

● Engage in play with children that have finished with routine

● Read to children/circle time/free play

Lunch

● Help children washup for morning snack

11:30am-11:45am ● Ensure everyone is seated and has what they need

● Assist where needed (refills, more food, cleaning)

● Ensure dietary needs are being met

Washing up for Rest

● Clean the eating area

● Making sure children are lined up for washup and toileting routines

11:45am-12:00pm ● Ensure proper hand washing

● Engage in play with children that have finished with routine

● Get out beds for Rest Time

● Put on music

12:00pm-2:30pm Rest Time

● Get children into their bed

● Sooth children until they fall asleep

● Clean up and prepare for the afternoon

● Lunch Break

Wake-up and Toileting Routine

● Clean up beds and blankets

2:30pm-3:00pm ● Making sure children are lined up for washup and toileting routines

● Ensure proper hand washing

● Engage in play with children that have finished with routine

Afternoon Snack

● Help children washup for morning snack

● Ensure everyone is seated and has what they need


3:00pm-3:30pm
● Assist where needed (refills, more food, cleaning)
