NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE ENCOURAGES SOLO TRAVEL

New Solo Cabin Options Become Available for Adventurers Traveling Independently

SEATTLE, WA., OCT. 7, 2023 — Beginning on Jan. 2, 2024, Norwegian Cruise Line will
introduce almost 1,000 solo cabins to its ships. The new addition encourages more solitary travel
and provides an option to guests wanting to invest in a lone trip.

Norwegian Cruise Line announced an option for travelers to stay in a stateroom of their own
when sailing alone on the cruise. As of the second day of the new year, the cruise line will open
three categories of solo cabins for purchase to those interested.

The three cabin options provide different views and locations on the ship. Solo Inside rooms give
travelers easy access to the shops and main interior of the ship without an outdoor view. Solo
Ocean View provides guests with a direct view of the sea during their stay with multiple
windows in the cable. Finally, Solo Balcony allows outside access with a balcony and view of
the ship deck and water.

The pricing of the rooms will vary depending on the ship's travel destination and demand,
although guests in solo rooms will pay less than those staying in multiple occupancy rooms.
Along with a price decrease, solo cabin inhabitants will have access to a private lounge and bar
with a variety of alcoholic beverages and snacks.

The new room options were created in response to an increase in solo travelers in recent years.
Individuals wanting single rooms will now be accommodated, improving the travel industry. The
Norwegian Cruise Line hopes to better the experience of its customers, and president of the line
David J. Herrera mentioned “We strive to provide our guests with diverse offerings to create
their dream vacation…We are continuously listening to our guests to deliver the experience they
want.”

Media Pitch:

Hi, Nathan

Based on the content you’ve covered in the past, I’ve gathered you may be interested in
covering this pitch about Norwegian Cruises. The Norwegian Cruise Line story is similar to the
stories you’ve written about European Cruises, as well as general tourism. I encourage this
cruise line and subsequent story to be acknowledged for its innovative ideas, as well as to bring
more tourism to the company.

The draw to the Norwegian Cruise Line Company is the newest addition of single-person
cabins. This attracts the growing community of solo travelers, as well as bringing more attention
to the idea. By creating these solo cabins, the company is supporting those who choose to
travel independently, however also making it safe for the tourist.

I hope you’ll consider the perks of covering this tourist attraction, which stands to grow
significantly as a company and also become well known for its innovative ideas to inspire more
travelers.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Caroline & Paige
