EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We are one of the company dealers that consist of 4 members who sells one of the
biggest brands of Malaysia which is called Proton. Proton is one of the most famous
brands in Malaysia because of its reasonable price and has many advantages compared
to the other brands that made in Malaysia. Proton has been owned by most Malaysians
and is often found on the road. Proton has produced various types of vehicles with
various colors and shapes. Proton has a lot of capacity that allows it to be occupied by
more than 5 people for each car. This also attracts the attention of buyers to own a
Proton brand because it comes with wide sizes and it can accommodate several
passengers inside. Proton is also known as a fuel-efficient vehicle and the owner does
not have to spend more money to fill up the fuel tank. Proton achieve a lot of sales
during the year because of the power it holds. However, there is slightest mistakes that
we need to be concern. Such as, insufficient parking is also be one of the causes of our
sales has been decrease for the past few months. It will cause a huge loss to our company
because we need to spend a sufficient amount to operate company of Proton. Lack of
parking spot can also be the cause of various problems that can bring harm to the
company itself. Somehow, sufficient parking can make it easier for potential buyers to
pick and choose the type of cars they want from us and to observe each of the cars
accurately without having to think about the safety of our parking. Parking is one of the
facilities that needs to be taken seriously and it must be provided by the company in
order to gain sales and increase the income.
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Parking is the most essential facility that has been provided by every operating building.
however, there is often a problem of lack of parking faced by building supervisors
which also going to result in traffic congestion that will disturb public peace and well-
being. This type of problem should be avoided and the highest position that has been
assigned needs to play its role by providing enough amount of parking to make sure all
the facilities have been adequately prepared. A few steps should be taken to overcome
the parking shortages which will give a huge impact on the development of a building
to grow over time.

1.1 PROBLEM STATEMENT


Following an investigation of our company's problems, some significant problems have
happened. The primary problem is the lack of exits, which forces our customers to make
U-turns through exits way and double parking.

Lack of exit way

One example of an issue is the lack of an exit route. This will make things more difficult
for our clients, who will only have one exit. Aside from that, the less of an exit way
from the parking area would cause traffic congestion in the vicinity. If there are two
exits, they do not have to use one that is far from their current parking location.

Customers must make a U-turn through the entrance and exit way to find parking.

Our company noticed a problem in which our customers had to take another route
through exits and entrances just to find parking. This is because our company area does
not have a large enough space to make rounds looking for parking in the area.

Double Park

Double parking will be defined as parallel parking in such a way that the car being
parked cannot move. Because of the restricted quantity of parking spaces, it is the most
common in the organization. This will cause numerous issues, including traffic
congestion and accidents if done alongside another automobile on the side of the road.
Furthermore, because they are now boxed in, it may prohibit another individual - the
one who is correctly parked - from leaving when they need to.

1.2 BACKGROUND OF INFORMATION
Due to an increase in customers, we have made the decision to widen the road so that
people can easily visit our dealership without worrying about finding a parking spot,
the road being too narrow, or the issue of double parking.

Objectives

1. To make it easier for customers to exit

To make it easier for customers to exit


By adding more exits, customers can more easily access the roads they have to go on,
such as the south exit to get home or the east exit to get to the mall, instead of using the
main exit, which is in the west and has heavy traffic in front of it because it is the main
road that everyone uses. Customers don't have to use the main exit to get where they're
going because there are other exits available.

Not wasting customer’s time


Making a special route for the customer to do a U-turn inside the Proton area will not
waste their time and they would not have to face or deal with a traffic jam because
customers must make a U-turn through the main exit and entrance way if they do not
find any parking and have to face a busy highway just to return back to the "Proton
Dealership" for parking, it is wasting their time.

To decrease double park problem


Making a waiting area will allow Grab, Maxim, or anyone else who needs to wait for
someone who is in the shop to park their car there, avoiding the double-parking issue
that can cause a jam in the Proton area. Not only that, but doing a double park also
irritated other customers because their car was blocked by the vehicle parked behind it,
and it made it difficult for them to move their vehicle because they had to first look for
the owner of the vehicle.

2.0 PROPOSE SOLUTION
To address our company's problem of a lack of customer parking, we recommended
expanding and adding a drop-off zone for e-hailing. We also do a U-turn through the
exit and entrance ways. The benefit of expanding this parking site is to make things
easier for our customers by not wasting time hunting for parking places, prioritizing our
customers' comfort as well as our company's overall growth and development.

2.1 BENEFITS
There are many benefits of initiating the expand the width of the road such as increases
customer satisfaction and can often generate more sales.

Customer satisfaction
Customers are more likely to be satisfied with their experience at our business if they
can quickly find a parking spot and park without difficulty. This is critical if our
organization wants to attract more customers.

To generate more sales


A good location combined with inadequate or overcrowded parking makes it incredibly
difficult for clients to visit you. A poor location with excellent parking can often
generate more sales than a good location with inadequate parking. After all, no one likes
to waste time circling a parking lot.

3.0 PLAN OF ACTION

3.1 Planning

After meetings and discussions with all stakeholders, we agreed to make certain
changes to the inadequacies in our company that affected our sales and profitability. We
have also identified the shortcomings we are facing and will fix them as soon as possible.

3.2 Organizing

The party in charge of making the change will act as soon as feasible to remedy the
situation. Each party has a certain role and scope of work based on the responsibilities
assigned to them. If all parties cooperate in the matter, the planning will be facilitated
and accelerated.

3.3 Executing

After successfully expanding and widening the parking lot for our clients, we will
conduct research on issues such as security and customer satisfaction. We will make
changes as needed to fulfil and meet the comfort of our consumers.

3.4 Controlling

We shall make every effort to ensure that the project to enlarge and expand parking for
customers performs in accordance with external standards. Setting performance
standards, comparing actual performance to standards, and taking corrective action as
needed will make up the three processes that make up control.

CURRENT LAYOUT

This is the current layout of our company. Our company is the biggest and popular one
in this country. With the parking space we have, we will see an increase in customers
and profits for our business.

PROPOSED LAYOUT
The layout of our organisation is shown in the proposed floor plan. To make it less
difficult for customers and avoid them from wasting a lot of time getting around in and
out multiple times only to find parking, two entrances and an exit were needed.
Convenience for customers may significantly deal with having two entrances.

4.0 PROPOSED BUDGET

The materials needed to carry out our proposal are the gates for our new exit way, the

roof for the parking lot, a U-turn signboard, and permanent paint for the road line and

parking line. Lastly, construction utilities, construction workers, and other utilities such

as electricity and water will also be included in our budget. The total amount of our

budget will be RM 267,598.00.

5.0 LIMITATIONS

There will be limitations for our business while we work on this project, such as the

need to temporarily close our dealership, the cost of the construction, and the amount

of time it will take.

5.1 Temporary closing of Proton

While the project of expanding the width of the road is in the process, our dealership

will be closing for the time being. The reason for this action is to avoid any unwanted

accidents that can occur with our customers or our workers. Although we will be closing,

our customers can still visit our other Proton branch, which is located near them for the

time being until the project is 100% done.

5.2 High expenses

Carrying out this project will only increase our company's finances because each

renovation requires a huge amount of money, and the materials that will be used are of

high quality to prevent any flaws from happening.

5.3 Take a long time.

This project will take a long time to complete because every aspect of widening the

road will be carefully examined to guarantee that the results won't turn out

disappointing and imperfect.

CONCLUSION
The management need to focus on the size of the area and the number of parking lot to
make it easier for every buyer. it is also important to avoid traffic jam that can disturb
the peace of the public. These matters need to be taken seriously to improve the services
and facilities of a building. Adding the number of parking lots and increasing the size
of the parking can also attract potential customers to drop by our place because they do
not have to burden themself to look for a parking and go straight to the showroom to
see the cars that are currently on display. The lack of parking will surely leave a negative
impact to our company development because it can burden every buyer and they will
start to think twice to drop by our place.

Parking also can improve user experiences and increase their sense of security because
they do not have to worry about getting rob by parking outside the building area. The
benefits to this is cannot be doubt because it is an excellent investment to the building.
Sufficient parking lot promises better security, flexibility and safety to improve
customer experiences while increasing productivity. And as the population of people
keep increasing, there will be a massive change in amount of vehicle on the road.
However, plan need to be done before increasing parking spaces and try to look for
every solution to develop the company while ensuring it meets every requirement
needed.

It is hoped that you will approve of the strategy we propose so that we may begin taking
the needed actions as soon as possible.

space to the e-hailing to drop the passengers and going straight to our showroom.
